Wheel Offsets that are likely to Rub

So on a 2nd gen tacoma, what offsets are more likely to rub?

Is a 32 - 33" tire more likely to rub when it sits out further or when it is in further?

Also is the tire more likely to rub the UCA when it sits out further or when it is in further?

 

Difficult to say as their seems to be differences between each tacoma..I am running 285/70 (33") on 17x9 Raceline Renegade 6 wheels, 0 offset with 5 backspace and don't rub at all. My buddy tried bolting mine on his 09 TRD access cab and they rubbed all over..Seems to be some truth behind a cars made on Fridays and Mondays.

 

It's more likely to rub o the UCA the closer it sits in. The further you push it out, the more likely it is to rub on the fender well lining.

Backspacing is the important component. Offset isn't that key because it changes depending on the rim width, for a given backspacing.

4.5" is best for 33's, and 5.5-4.5" is good for 265's.
