Tacoma battery upgrade to Lithium?

Can the alternator of the Tacoma properly charge a LiFePO4 Lithium battery, or do I need to install something like a RedArc charger?

I recently installed a dashcam and my puny little 24F battery that came with the truck 3 years ago can't run the dashcam in parking mode for very long before the voltage drops too low. I'd like to be able to have a battery that can run the dashcam for at least a few days since I don't drive the Tacoma every day.

Ideally I'd like to have a dual battery set up with at least a 100Ah lithium battery as the aux/house battery, but I just can't find any setups in the engine bay that would fit a lithium battery of that capacity/size as well as a regular starting/cranking battery. This is leaving me to consider using a lithium battery as my cranking and house battery.

 

The alternator charging voltage is ECU controlled. It is a pretty easy tuning edit.

I don't know how I'd change that setting. I know nothing about accessing and/or changing values in the ECU

Well, I've seen them cause no start issues. Non functional accessories. As well as the lack of test equipment if you do suspect it to be bad. Currently it is just a math equation based off of the voltage from what I've been told. In my eyes they are un proven, and manufacturers arnt ready for them compatibility wise

Considering a vehicle electrical system is filled with noise and what not I think the LiPO batteries should have integrated charge controllers considering they like to boom when they are charged improperly

 

At that price, those should have a BMS to deal with charging voltage.

I saw that, but it can only fit a Group 35 battery and I can't find any Lithium batteries with at least 100Ah of capacity. I'm hoping for this much capacity so that I could run electronics including a low voltage bunk warmer (heating blanket) for a few days without needing solar panels (which I intend to get much later). Most Group 35 lithium batteries only have about 50Ah of capacity which is significantly less than I'd like.

I originally was looking at a Yeti 1500X battery bank that I'd keep in the bed of the truck when camping, which has 140Ah of capacity, but I can't easily hook my dashcam up to that. Because of this, I'm completely re-evaluating my designs into something like a mounted dual battery set up with the house battery having 100+Ah of capacity, or going back to my original design but having a beefed up cranking battery. That is, I'd have a lithium Group 31 battery as the cranking battery, and then have a Yeti 1500X in the bed of the truck

 

It does say it has a BMS, so does that mean that I wouldn't have to make adjustments to the ECU for the alternator output? Or would that be a question for the battery manufacturer?

Those batteries do not like temperatures below 32*F or 0*C.

Somethings to consider.
When a Li fails, a self-sustaining fire can erupt. The fire must be extinguished with sand, similar to a Mg fire.
Air freight requires special handling and containment vessels.
Power tool companies spend millions $ controlling charge/discharge cycles. (I doubt if your Toyota can control the charge/discharge cycle)
