40+ degree swing from night to day. Around here we normally only get 15. Any more than that and we've got one of your northern fronts that have come through

The cool comes quick to that area!!
The guide that took me out on the Madison was telling me about the winters there according to him at the west gate a temp tied for the lowest in the lower 48 was recorded -70 something. That’s hard to imagine the record here is -5

pretty typical this time of year and in spring
i'd be worried if you did!

yep. and west has a weird climate - something about how the winds/weather cruise across the snake rive basin in ID and funnel into west or something. but you can almost guarantee that whatever the forecast is in the surrounding area west will be at least 10* cooler. and they get a ton of snow. not sure if you noticed the 2nd floor garage doors on some of the ATV rental places in town but that's where they store the snowmobiles in the summer... and they can drive the snowmobiles in/out the 2nd floor without ramps

but its chilly now! and i like sleeping with lots of blankets so getting up and moving in this weather is tough - i like being in my cozy little blanket cocoon

    ya think?

I don’t remember the 2 floor garage doors now and that’s sorta strange I’m usually the person that notices things out of the ordinary. See that’s why you would make a good guide those little tidbits of no that’s where the crowds are this is what we do. And this is why we do this. I’m not sure about everyone else but that’s the kind of stuff that interest me. And usually one of my questions in a new place is where do y’all eat I’ll do the cloth napkin place from time to time but I’m actually a taco truck guy. People will often overlook the best place in town because they don’t want to do the math on when their last tetanus shot was.
