Do you know if those steps would fit a 2012?

 

Man unfortunately I don’t know. I think they might I’m almost positive they’re a factory Toyota part but they are designed for a short bed.

 

If you google Tacoma shark running boards these are those. As long as gen 2 and 3 running boards are compatible? I’m not sure never had a gen 2

I don't have a TN carry permit and I'm not a felon. I guess I'm not interested....

What part of Cali are you from?
A carry permit in hand isn't going to prove that someone isn't a felon... For example I have the lifetime permit. If I was to commit a felony I would still have this piece of plastic in my pocket and you wouldn't know if it was valid or not.
Also TN is constitutional carry now by the way so a lot of people don't even worry about a permit anymore. ie. @tacotim448 is definitely not a felon (i know him personally) and doesn't need a permit.
Ultimately it's your prerogative and my opinion doesn't matter but I think it's dumb. GLWS

 

Cut the guy some slack, as his request for a Carry Permit does have validity in showing a buyer is eligible to purchase a firearm:

List of Scenarios which will result in a Suspension or Revocation of a Carry Permit

1. Being charged with any felony offense will result in a suspension, pending the disposition.
2. If the permit holder is placed on pre-trial or judicial diversion (Suspended for a period of time equal to the diversionary period)
3. A conviction for any Class A Misdemeanor will result in the suspension of a person’s carry permit while the persons’ sentence or probation is in effect. (T.C.A. 39-17-1352 (f)(1)

The state could make a mistake and not collect it, however increased scrutiny on firearm possession would lead me to believe this issue is on the their radar

 

As I said.. It's his prerogative and my opinion doesn't matter. He is however posting this in a group of pretty good people (for the most part) and is limiting his market. @tacotim448 is not a felon and was interested b/c he is going on an elk hunt out west and needs a better bear protection gun. he could have had the gun sold to a standup guy otherwise. If i came across too abrasive i apologize and those who know me know that's just who I am.

 

But at the same time I do not know you or @tacotim448 or the next person who wants to buy it. Requiring a valid carry permit weeds a lot of people out, including some of the nicest hardest working people out there.

Not to belabor your point that "this group are pretty good people;" I sold 7 firearms in the last year and bought 8. I required a carry permit or a trip to the FFL to clear the buyer before turning over the firearm. Out of that batch, I had three interest parties in my sales that were documented felons, which I found in published state records. EVERYONE is weighed and measured, especially when it come to putting a firearm in a persons hands. When the firearm turns up in a crime, and TBI comes knocking because I am the last possessor of the serial number in question, I had best have proof of sale, and the means to show the buyer was in good standing with the state at the time I sold it.

On a positive note, I have an FFL who will perform FFL to FFL transfers for me. This completely clears me and puts everything on the up and up. If they are local, he will run them for $15 bucks.
