I put the MBT2S in the rifle I assembled. I liked it so much I ordered the Strait bow trigger for the other rifle. I haven't shot it enough yet with that trigger to tell you which I prefer.

Hey, I resemble that last remark.

RE: drop in triggers, I may be the only one to mention them, but I like the CMC single stage triggers

Build bug got ya. I'm the same way. I enjoy building the way I think a lot of people enjoy watching sports or playing video games. It's cathartic and takes my mind off of other things. Unfortunately I've built everything my budget allows so now I just pressure friends to buy stuff so I can build for them. For free though. Don't want to get hemmed up by the ATF for cheating them out of tax dollars.

Since everyone is talking triggers, for a “budget” trigger is hard to beat the larue mbt-2 as mentioned already. I haven’t really had any trigger time with any of the other brands mentioned however.

My personal favorite is the geissele SD3G though, love the flat face and the break and reset are amazing. I got it “used” on ARFCOM for 150 years ago but it looked brand new when I got it.

I will have one, but I've heard the trigger itself has a trash feel. Like worse than mil-spec. I won't let it sit in a gun that will be more than a "toy". I'm thinking that's what I'll put in my 17 Design IFLR.

Again, that's only interweb stories. I haven't asked my 2 buddies how it feels......I just know it works

Me personally, the outcome. This won't be in gun that I need to be dependable/feel great. It's a "toy" :D

Serious question - are any of the aftermarket AR triggers, drop in or otherwise, know for light strikes? (not talking about a bubba home spring job)
