Zip ties on the drive line are my favorite. Makes the truck sound like it has a huge missfire or exhaust leak

Mine is is due for leaf spring soak again (at LEAST once per year) I go with a thick/thin oil double hit. I know it's due because it sings to me at various notes due to loads and road speeds. Haven't heard chimes though. How loud is it?

Have a bud ride in the bed and listen.

Does this almost sound like a heat shield rattling metal on metal? Reason I ask is I had / have that noise. Would typically only show up on a decelerating right turn. I checked everything I could touch, and could never find it. Almost sounded like it could be a loose spring in the rear drum? At any rate, since my last tire rotation the sound has essentially disappeared. I think the uneven tread on the Cooper ST Maxx were aggravating the situation. On my last rotation I did a 4 way cross rotation (LF to RR, RF to LR) instead of the normal front to back rotation. The sound almost completely went away, and once the cross rotated tires got about 500 miles on them, completely gone now.

Hopefully the link works. You can hear it here about the 5-6 second mark.

Spent hours under the truck trying to locate and could not. Was about ready to pull the trigger on a gopro to put underneath when the sound went away. Should it return I'll have to do that.

Did that to a fishing buddy of mine when we were camping.

I took a small bell used for clipping onto the end of a fishing pole.

Sprayed it a rusty color and tossed it in the dirt while paint was dry. Total camouflage once clipped up high by the trans or above the drive line. Drove him nutz!!

Also ziptied his tent door zippers together on the outside. That pissed him off good!

I have used a couple different sprays for the thin soak, side but final is Amsoil HD MP. Dries waxy and no schsteenk. Maybe this year I might try Amsoil Chain Lube.

My sniffer must be super sensitive because I can't stand the smell of the HD MP! But damn it works good!

OK no stink after a couple few minutes, when liquid it does have a reek. But when set, all good.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
He jumped on the chain gang. So will I

definitely not the chain/spare. been through a couple iterations with it now, it was only active between 25-30mph and then around 50mph.
seems like maybe the bolts for the bed to the frame might be loose, exhaust shield, or god knows what else. gopro didnt help... just gotta work my way around under it i guess!
