I think it goes in cycles. Some of the older trends will come back in style, some won't. Pink and green, probably won't.

Grey floors lol sorry to everybody that just put them in
And for the record I think they look fine but it is really trendy now so will be the hardest hit by the inevitable change in trends :)
Edit: I’m excluding grey slate from this, it will always be classy

My old house has the same bathroom but thankfully in 1948 all they had was black and white so my tiles are white and border/accent pieces are black, aged more gracefully.

I think the all-white look for houses that I see now will look dated in ten years

Yep with white walls and white trim and white ceilings with white ceiling fans and white exterior with galvalume tin roof makes for a boring design

BTW This is the new house I was working on Today

Wish I could find a pic of the shower/tub. The tub was green like the toilet. There was a woman at the place I worked at the time that had a vintage bathroom and wanted the nasty green toilet! Didn't work out on the end. I rented a demolition hammer from HD one day and went to town on that bathroom. Good god, they made them tough back then! The floor was several inches of concrete/mortar, and the shower was at least 1-2 inches with wire mesh in it. What a cast iron bitch that was. As was the cast iron tub, which was almost as wide as the bathroom. Had to cut and sledge that bad boy out.
