Don't have to know what apt. goes to what vehicle. Just break in and take keys first. Hit button and take whatever blinks.

Idk, sounds like OP is on a second story, so perp had to crawl into his balcony. Unless it just happened to be the first balcony he tried, I think he'd be spotted or heard crawling around to multiple balconies.

Last time this happened in my neighborhood it was a teen looking for a joyride.

Keep an eye out around local trails and fields, sometimes they ditch it in a day or so.

Sorry that it happened. Hopefully insurance makes it right.

I was thinking this too, more often than not, trucks and suvs get ditched in fields or dirt roads after someone had their fun with it.

Yeah it was pretty bad down there this year. I go there for work for a few weeks each year and this time in the downtown area it just wasn’t fun to be out walking around. Everything just had a really hostile feel this time.

What I'd like to know is how the truck thief knew where your apartment was; Sounds like the bastard was staking you out!

But still would be someone familiar with the layout of the apt and the owner of it to be that bold and precise.

I live on second story. Wouldn't take much for for someone to "Like the Truck", watch me come home and see where I lived. It is my only vehicle, so not like there were a lot of keys to choose from.

The gall to come into my home, while I was there, is a bit disturbing... In the end, no one was hurt and insurance covers some of it. But it is always good to try and catch a thief, so atleast it won't happen to the next person.

    Appreciate everyone's help

    Wouldn't you like to know!
Damn so sorry to hear this man. I'll definitely keep an eye out and spread the word to my peoples. I also think this had to have been pre-meditated from someone who likely knows you or knows of you. Any strangers lately say "nice truck" or anything like that lately? Especially at your complex. Next have you had any service calls to your home recently? Those are just the likely avenues of some way a stranger/thief could make their way into your realm. Hope you find it!

Yeah it's a lot of work to try and part this thing out but I know people whom this has happened to.
