they certainly do look awesome. but its up to the BCS to pick Missouri's opponent for the Big 12 Championship, and Texas did beat them on a neutral field. But was the Sooners 20 point victory against cross-state rival impressive enough to jump Texas? We'll see shortly. i think Florida-Oklahoma would be a great BCS title game

The BCS made the wrong decision, IMO. The Big 12 is going to have to re-examine their tie breakers. I recently learned about the SEC's process for solving a similar problem...

In the event of a 3-way tie like the one in the Big 12 South, the BCS rank is used to determine the division champion. The difference is this: The lowest ranked of the three is tossed out, and the head-to-head match-up between the top two is used. The winner of head-to-head goes. I bet Texas wishes they used our rules, huh?

Unfortunately for Texas fans, these were the rules agreed upon at the beginning of the season. If they would have taken care of business down the stretch, then there would have never been an issue. If we were playing by SEC or ACC rules, then UT would be going. But we weren't playing by those rules, so no use crying about it now.

I would rather see a rematch of OU UT than play Mizzou (better game IMO) but it is what it is. And more to the point, the BCS is supposed to be looking at the total body or work, the seasons resume; as such OU has had a more impressive season all things considered. I think this helps further the point of scheduling better non-conference teams instead of weak divisional and non-divisional chumps.

You're a better man than me. I'd be SO PISSED right now. I think you have the right outlook.

Besides... If UT beats the hell out of whoever they play in a bowl, and a one-loss team wins the BCS game, there's a better than average chance you'll get a share of the title anyway. Can you imagine the UT/OU game next year if both were to come in (rightfully) claiming the previous year's national title?

Ok... I know I've posted to this thread a lot recently, but I just got this picture and it's awesome (well... to me, anyway)

Sorry man... I know the feeling. Had it for 6 straight years.

On the upside... the picture is certainly a photoshop. At the end of the game, Tommy would have been walking accross the field surrounded by cops, reporters, etc. He wasn't pacing the sidelines w/ his earphones on and his head down.

Somebody's just really good at putting pictures together.

In fact, now that I think about it... I doubt he would have been on the jumboton at all during the game. That's probably a picture from the CBS broadcast that was spliced in.

Lol, hate to relish in your pain..but first game against UCLA my friends and I were sitting back and saying what we thought Fulmer was saying every time something shitty would happen and they would flash to him on the sidelines (couldn't hear what he was saying yanno, just read his lips)...

Most of the comments were like "dogonit" and "shoot" things of that nature...then during his half time interview he said both words and I almost peed.

I've been listening to Finebaum all day. I can't say I'm sad to see him go, but now that we have a coach that can beat him, I wish we could have drilled him a few more times.

At least Saban saved Bear's record as the Iron Bowl coach w/ the highest winning %. Tommy was ahead of Bear before the game... 36 points later the Bear is back on top.

Yeah well I think its another stupid decision. Add another tally to the list for this year. The trend seems to be one bad year your gone.

I am still pissed my Red Raiders aren't getting a BCS game this year. They will be the first team from a BCS conference to go 11-1 and not make a BCS game. On the plus side they will probably go to the Cotton Bowl and I will be getting tickets Monday. This has been one of the wildest and best seasons in college football. I hope and know the Sooners will win the national championship.

I personally think the BCS is a load of crap and needs to be reworked.

Sucks y'all don't get a BCS, but I guess that's what happens when you're in the strongest division in the strongest conference in college football. Y'all had one hell of a year.

The Sooners will not win... Florida or Alabama will win. GO SEC!

I'm just tired of hearing all the moaning from the media and UT about them not going to the CCG. They seem to forget that it was a 3 way tie and if we would have lost to OSU, they still wouldn't have gone. Grah, such a bunch of cry babies.

I hope Leech stays at TT, he is fun to watch. It would be a shame if he went to Washington or something and made the PAC10 more competitive.
