If you are buying a laser level, pay close attention to the warranty. Most of them are not repairable so when they die, you either get a new one under warranty or you throw it away and buy new.

I posted this a page or two back, but make sure you have plenty of 5.0AH (or larger) batteries for that grinder cause it'll chew through them. I have those same two milwaukee grinders and ended up buying a couple of cheap corded harbor freight grinders as well. I find that if you're doing a lot of metal work, it helps to have different grinders for each type of disc (grinder, cutoff, flap etc). That way you just pick up a different grinder instead of having to change discs constantly.

    Thanks!

The M18 grinder actually had a special where it came with a 5.0 battery; same with the impact wrench!

But yeah, that's why I picked up 2 grinders. Was told it's very convenient having more than 1, both cordless and corded.

I second the having a couple grinders, especially in a trade where you're using them constantly. At my work we have four grinders, one for each of the abrasives we use. And lots of spare batteries...

[IMG] The 12V cut off disc tool is DA BOMB. Even cuts rebar relatively quickly!

I always forget to mention, but i have gotten some pretty good money back thru Honey. It just links back to Home Depot's website on most of the Milwaukee stuff. It just lives as an extension on your computer and pops up and tries coupons and such and gives you points back on certain things. I just turn the points or whatever they call it back to paypal or Walmart giftcards and use them for groceries.

    joinhoney.com/ref/pqb7yis
Think i get like $5 or something if you use link to sign up.

I even got $45 back for my workboots, when i ordered thru Keen, which had the same price as Amazon.

    upload_2021-9-24_12-1-3.jpg

Found it easiest to just go to Honey and do a search if you are looking for something specific. I just typed in Milwaukee here and flipped the tab for exclusive deals, seems all links back to Home Depot.
    upload_2021-9-24_12-4-29.jpg

$100 back on their new power center. Think i will stick to a genny lol. $2200 seems like a lot.

Forgot to mention they also show you the price history thru the little tab that lives on the side and you can add it to a pricewatch, so they alert you.

This might be the tool that tips me to the M18 dark side (from exclusive M12).

I'm already 50/50....so it's a no brainer. Those track saws are the shit. Just can't justify the cost of the cordless Festool.

This little M12 3/8” impact impresses me more every time I get to use it. It completed everything I asked of it installing this lift from lugnuts, leaf spring bolts to u-bolts no problem. M18 1/2” mid didn’t leave the toolbox.

How hard did the Stubby have to work for any part of this job? Still torn between the Stubby & Mid torque. Stubby seems like a luxury impact, where as mid torque seems pretty well spec'd.

The leaf bolts are the highest torque value on this job and it was no problem. This truck is a 2021 with 855 miles so no rust… rust complicates things, but I’ve actually taken F350 lugs off which I believe are somewhere in the 140 ft/lb range.

Although the stubby is a beast for what it is, if one is the only option I’d go for the mid.

All that with just the 2.0ah batt? Nice.
I figured the stubby was working in best case scenario (little to no rust), so I wouldnt assume that in rear world/ salvage yard duty.
Mid Tq is $219 with a 5ah batt, so that's tempting.

    The f350 lugs were with a 6.0.
