Flat top kind of weekend. Made pancakes Sunday morning but we’ve all seen them before. Taters, chicken breast and thighs and a few chops.

Made my own lunch today (took 10 minutes) ... some Publix frozen veggies, fresh sliced beefsteak tomatoes, salmon that I cooked and bagged 2 days ago, whole wheat toasted muffin.

I put some Mio in the water bottle ... mix some (extra hot) horseradish with the tartar sauce (no fructose corn syrup) ... some orange preserves on the muffin and the Montreal seasoning on the salmon when I cooked it. ....
Lined up the bottles in the back so you can see them. :)

Enough here for my lunch and light dinner. :hungry:

PS ... 99% of what I use comes from Costco and/or Publix.

Today had some blueberries, almonds. walnuts, Dave's whole wheat w/ seeds toast, orange preserves and coffee.

This is my "sticks and twigs" breakfast several times a week. Some days I do an egg McMuffin with no meat from McDonalds.

    Lunch is below .....

    9388E8B3-8F59-43BF-B2D6-263B5D6BDDC4.jpg

For lunch, cooked some fresh wild caught cod (probably previously frozen) from Costco. This was my first time to cook cod (except frozen store-bought boxed breaded cod). I basted it with olive oil on both sides, seasoned it with Montreal Seasoning, warmed up a pan to hot with a little olive oil and popped the cod in for 2 1/2 minutes on each side.

I usually don't do well the first time I cook something  ... but I hit this one perfectly :). It was moist, flakey and literally melt in your mouth good. It was sooo good .... I ate 3 servings :hungry: and the whole 1.75 lb package .... lol

I was always concerned when cooking fish about killing all of the "bad cooties" in the meat ... problem is ... I always overcooked it in the past.

Trying to get my weight down to where it was in the military and need to go down about 5 more KGs.
Did good at breakfast and not so good at lunch ... over all, down 6 KGs in 2 months just watching my portions and eating less sugar, snacks and nooo late night munchies.

...^^^... Today ... I had a fantastic "Five Guys" burger with no cheese and lots of veggies on it ... more veggies in back you can't see.

No fries and only water to drink ... with no mayo and only mustard. with ... regular onions, cooked onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, green peppers ... :hungry:

Maybe it was because they had just opened here and didn't have things right yet but I couldn't stand Five Guys. Do I need to try it again?

I personally would put them very near the top of fast food burgers, and I'm not a huge fry guy but I can eat several of them Cajun fries

This is how I order now if I allow myself a burger. Skip the fries. And milkshakes

...^^^... That's my compromise too ... Skip the fries, cokes, shakes (I do love all of those things too) ...

And I eat the burger very slowly to enjoy every bite ... :hungry:

...^^^... Over the last few years I have been to maybe 10 different "Five Guys" and all were very good and consistent with quality.

I would go in and look around and if you feel comfortable ... try it again.
