People can ask me anything they want, doesn't bother me. Hopefully no one would scold us for asking questions on here (I know the mods frown on political comments).

I just hope I can return to running and lifting when I'm ready to. I remember last time the inflammation impacts were still around for a few months. Normal inflammation and soreness after exercise was magnified by the virus making life no fun for quite awhile.

I also have an autoimmune condition. Unsure if that means I have more sensitivity to the inflammation compared to someone who doesn't.

To the other brahs on here who have recovered from COVID, you back to the gym full time yet?

@PackCon - Thought of you when I ran the trails today. Speedy recovery brother. Ugh.

I feel like I am the only fucker who hasn’t caught the vid. Also haven’t done testing once. The life of solitude is tough sometimes guys;)

    Testing isn't fun.

It's funny there are certain people in my family who have not gotten it despite being health care workers and being stuck in households with people who have gotten it. They must be the lucky asymptomatic folks.

You’re not the only one man. I have never had the Vid nor did I get the jab.
I have however gotten tested multiple times. That’s not comfortable but, imo...not a huge deal to me.

Whatever you choose to do or not, hope you continue to remain healthy.

I’ve been on multiple flights, and come into contact people from out of state frequently.

That’s the goal. Look into N-acetal L-cystine (NAC) besides liver protective benefits it has positive effect on lung health.

Subject is talked about starting about halfway through.

It’s crazy. Won’t get into it in here but I swear the normal flu doesn’t even exist anymore apparently. Don’t ever hear about it anything.

So, back to trying to stay somewhat in shape without going to the gym. It’s still a household decision for us with the numbers being higher than we’re comfortable with.

Having said that, I’ve been using my curl bar to do overhead presses & bent over rows. Can anyone recommend a good exercise I can do for the shoulders. All I have is 2 x 20lb dumbbells & my curl bar that has a 25lb plate on each side.

Lateral Raises. Hand stand push ups if you've got the guts to try.

You can can get pretty far with just OHP and lateral raises. You don't need a ton of variety to build mass.

Check out Beachbody if you need programs with minimal equipment.

At the risk of being a broken record and a "yoga flake" you might want to look into some strength yoga. Check out Breathe and Flow on Youtube. Check these folks out. No gym and no weight training. I'd kill to be in that kind of shape. I've been practicing for a year or so to supplement my other activities that have dropped off due to Covid. That shit ain't easy and the benefits have been fantastic. Also I don't even have a mat. On the floor in the living room of my apartment. The carpet actually makes it more difficult. Give this a try and report back:

Well, Great Lake’s Strongest Man is in the books. Definitely underperformed taking 4th in my weight class...:(

I came out flat and the competition was sharp this year. I also shit the bed on the log press (usually my strongest event). Everything else moved okay all things considered, but I definitely could tell I was lacking that ‘extra gear’. Oh well, gotta give credit to the guys who put in the work.
