I'm reading that bigger tires, or super aggressive tires are ok to use them, so maybe for the cooper pros they should be good. Rick, if I get the machines before you get your Cooper Pros, I can use the beads if you want.
For any SL rated tires, or any lighter ones I'll be sticking to the adhesive weights.

Rick - Why you want to ditch the carplay? That was quick!

If you have the stock head unit then it does not. It rolled out in the 2020s. However, it's cable-only, so to use it you have to plug in. This dangly bit is a third party bodge that makes it work wireless, so you can route the wires elsewhere and tuck that box away and not have cables in theory.

I used DynaBeads on my motorcycle for many years. The tire companies changed mold release compounds during that time. With the new mold release, it would cause the beads to gather up into big balls that would throw the balance way off. Note that balance beads are said to be 0.040in diameter ceramic bead blasting media. Super cheap if bought in that form.

My first solution was to waste time cleaning the carcass before mounting. It would take two cleanings to do the job. Not bad for two motorcycle tires, but not great either.

After that, I just started using Slime to balance. Same result, but it takes more fluid to do the deed. There is still some clean up needed when swapping tires but takes no time to do. For a time, I was using antifreeze (doesn't corrode) as an experiment on my one, very-hard-to-balance sidecar bike (tube tires). I ended up transitioning to Slime there also.

The other method that I have felt, but not used, is high quality AirSoft pellets. Baby bottom smooth, like the other options.

I was thinking of mounting my own tires on the Taco and using one of those methods, but the TMPS sensors always puts me off. I like the system and don't want to potentially ruin it with either Slime or impact damage with beads / pellets. But after swapping my spare for matching diameters, it showed that my mounting tools need an upgrade. It is also much more work to break the inner beads.

It is phenomenal how these dynamic methods work though, esp the faster that you go. Had my bike up to 130 fully loaded with camping gear. It was excellent.

When you mentioned "boom" did the engine blow up, or was that a figure of speech?

Is there a sound different with the windows closed in the cabin?

It's going to get louder as the exhaust break in or as it age. One New England winter it will be louder.
