Has anyone experienced the rear door locking mechanism sticking causing the door not to close? I tried spraying with lube but it's a recurring issue now. It looks like the thin white ptfe material is breaking down. Can anyone help with repair or replacement part solutions? Thanks.

the difference is, his will be dead before 100k miles. but in that 100k miles it'll be in a shop for a total of 3 months.

I've done a mod or two
I'm amazed that the current crop of Hell cat and generic hemi engines still have cam and lifter issues and oiling nightmares. Like at this point even the hellcat is old news, you'd think they'd be on top of that already.

Vacuum leak should have nothing to do with your 4x4. ADD should be all electric for your year.

Replaced the tailgate latch. Removed a bunch of gravel the previous owner gave to me and shop vacced inside the tailgate. Need to get a new access panel and might try tracking down a tailgate piece to match the plastic bed liner.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Having some issues with what turns out to be the T-case.

Symptom has been a squeek that (relatively) coincides with wheel speed.

Most accurate way to describe the squeek is the sound made when the brake heat shield gets bent where it rubs on the rotor.

The sound is not the heat sheild rubbing the rotor, or the bearing, or the hubs, or the CVs... those were already ruled out by replacing pads, bearings, re-lubing hubs etc.

Lifted the truck on a lift, put it in drive, and got under it. The squeek is 100% coming from this area under the "Housing, sub-assembly" cover.

    Screenshot_20210924-135111_Gallery.jpg

I'm looking on the parts blow up and I am not seeing anything that is a bearing.

    Screenshot_20210924-133523_Edge.jpg

#36105 is that sub assembly there is a part (the middle of the 3 parts) that might be, could be a bearing, but it is not labeled as such.

    Screenshot_20210924-134614_Edge.jpg

Has anyone had a similar issue? Or, have additional info that might help narrow this down?

    Maybe @Timmah!

Looks like a bearing to me. But who knows with those diagrams. I bought a part the other day and it was totaly different than the diagram and was wrong. So...yeah. Should be a bearing in there though to support the output shaft.

Kind of what I'm thinking. Sucks that the diagram isn't more useful. (actually the diagram is fine, the descriptions suck).

I guess I'll be buying the assembly... at least it comes with the seal. lol

Actually play in the bearing like that is normal.. but that one does seem a little excessive.
