Both the same when it comes to NO performance upgrade. What a waste of money.....

If the dealer is labeling it as an "upgrade". It can be anything. Could be standard exhaust (non pro) with a cheap exhaust tip. Could actually be the trd pro exhaust. Who knows. Dealer will sell you an "off road" suspension and its just a spacer lift.

The word upgrade is subjective and if they're putting quotations (this is likely the OP just asking his question) around an add on, its likely junk.

To answer your original question. Yes they are different. Despite the performance data, they are two different exhausts.

TRD exhaust and exhaust on TRD models. I dont recall tube diameter, but different muffler and one has an exhaust tip

I paid 613.00 for the exhaust, and 340.00 for the intake from a local guy I know at a dealer. Also paid about 1300.00 for these beautiful LED Headlights.

Very nice, surprised they’re not wearing seatbelts :D

I’ve been able to find similar prices but shipping kills the deal every time. I need to find something within driving distance.

    great looking truck

Will a pro exhaust fit on a 4 cylinder manual transmission SR ACCESS CAB?

So exactly what is the difference between the exhausts, diameter, muffler? Can the Sport exhaust be made into with muffler from Pro?

Like the OP here and, new to Toyota, I had a helluva time figuring out "what was what" with exhaust. The "tip" being offered alone didn't help either. Finally I was told, and I later verified myself, the OEM TRD Pro exhaust will only fit the 5' bed and I have the longer 6' bed. Yes, I could extend the tube somewhere but, doing that after spending an outrageous amount on an OEM product is unappealing. What I will do this year is...

Order the TRD Pro "tip" (just for looks) and install on my original. Then, I will order a Borla muffler only and replace the OEM muffler. Since there is NO performance gain anyway, this should be a great alternative, sound good, easy, attractive, affordable. The look of the TRD intake is gorgeous but, like the exhaust...it's expensive and doesn't do much. Just my thoughts-:notsure:

Trd pro Tip is welded on if I’m not mistaken.

Its a TRD exhaust used on the Pro and it can be bought for the longbed. There is a difference between the TRD and the stock exhaust. Google will serve you well, also the TRD tip is welded on and cannot be bought. Your maybe getting the Toyota bolt on tip. Also the Borla so I have read won't sound like the TRD muffler as they are made by two different companies.

Apparently, I STILL don't really know. I saw a Toyota quote that TRD Pro's are only available in 5' bed. I just assumed then, that they were too short for LB. I always found the online descriptions of Pro exhaust to be vague and confusing for something so costly. Maybe the Pro exhaust is available for 6' bed? I just assumed it wasn't?:frusty: I don't really care anymore, I'm not paying for it...it's pointless anyway. I was just explaining my choice as another option for OP.

Pro Tip? See above, I can weld it on or, bolt it on, whatever. And, I never said Borla sounded like Pro. Just said it would sound great, and I have read they have great reviews, they're available and affordable and again, I can just weld it in. Eezy peezy.

All I ever wanted in my prior inquiries into exhaust for the Taco was to "hear" my exhaust a little more. Some performance gain would be nice but, that's not going to happen.

So who sells the TRD tip? Never seen them for sale, plus you have to find one, good luck.

I don’t think they make one. It’s welded onto the trd pro exhaust from the factory
