    Good morning,

Ill be taking in my truck soon for a warranty issue and want to have the latest TSB done.

I have a 2019 SR5 that isn't terrible with the gear hunting, but it is still noticeable. I've seen many of you guys mention that there has been multiple flashes/upgrades to the software. Does anyone know off hand the latest TSB for this? Who has had the most recent update on an "older" tacoma? Is it a big difference?

Seems to depend on the vehicle how well the latest tsb performs. My buddies 2019 trd still has more noticeable gear hunting with the same tsb that was done from the get-go on my 2020 sr5 which really has zero. His truck doesn't have the same power snappiness as mine either.

Confirmed that TSB-0092-20 is the latest for your 2019 AT (attached). It has gotten excellent reviews.

With my buddies 2019, the dealer wouldn't do the latest tsb till they actually drove the truck so they could verify his complaint.

Yes. TSB-0045-21 (attached). It is noted to only fix the CrawlControl issue, but you never know what else is buried in there.

Cool. Let's hope the dealer doesn't give me a hard time because it technically does not apply to my truck as I have a RWD Sport. Thanks! :)

If you have a good relationship with the dealer, it might happen.

Or, you could hook up with someone in my Feelers thread. Super easy to flash up.

It's so funny to me the hoops that dealers will jump through to avoid doing the TSB. Like, it takes less than 5 minutes to hook the truck up to a computer and flash the TSB. It takes at least double that to just test drive it.

Maybe its a liability thing with some dealers, they need to be sure its the same issue the op is complaining about before they actually fix the issue. I can see their point...i was taught the same when servicing an issue on any electronic medical device's...always test run the unit first to actually see what the issue is that their brought in for. I'm sure you wouldn't want someone telling you your gut needs an operation when you only have a stomach virus.

They told me the same thing..... I asked for the TSB while my truck was in for the fuel pump recall. I ran it as low on gas as I dared and the tech said he couldn't drive it due to the low fuel level. He also did the TSB anyway.

I hear you, but new 2016 / 2017 AT ECUs are shipping with 04B05. I am dying to get that TSB / CUW and can only assume that it is the same general calibration as the the 2016 / 2017 MTs and the 2019 ATs that everyone likes.

So, 2018 ATs are the danglers at the moment. Hopefully, soon!

That said the TSBs back in 2018 for 04B13 and 04B04 were pretty big deals. Not 100% saviors, but helpful nonetheless.

Update*** took the truck in yesterday. Had the low pressure fuel pump replaced under recall (didn't have any issues with it). While there, they said the third brake light was also under recall and they installed a new gasket. I asked about the TSB for the software flash and they said my truck had the latest software installed and the truck drives as designed. I forgot to bring the print out so I let it go.... for now.

The TSB was released after the 2019s were out of production. So unless it was previously flashed, they might not be telling you the truth.

Some OBD apps and readers can tell you the ECU ID. You want it to be 04B33.
