Bogus Charges

I just secured a deal on a Barcelona Red Access cab O/R 6 speed 4x4. According to the spec sheet that was provided by the dealer I paid about 1100 dollars under invoice. What exactly is invoice. I see there is charges such as TDA(450), holdback(500), wholesale financial reserve(250), destination(800) and gas(10). Just wondering if you all paid those as well.

Regardless I'm pumped to take delivery in two weeks.

 

The best part is you pay interest on those charges.

 

I love how where I live I pay taxes on the sticker price and not what I paid. Stupid broke state.

 

TDA is probably what's also known as a dealer administration fee...essentially profit disguised as a fee...$450 for writing up your paperwork...holdback listed as a fee is particularly cute, since factory holdback is money PAID to the dealership by the factory once the vehicle is sold.

 

Well after everything I paid 27800 plus tax. I think I got a pretty good deal.

and that is only for trucks, does not apply to cars. Sucks when you get a good deal on trade in but still have to pay tax on the sticker. I bought in Mass and they almost forgot about the law for RI, almost I say...
