So you think that's what the truck actually looks like in person?
People come here to see what a Tacoma actually looks like with that size tire. If you're going to skew the view than what is the point?

Dude what is your problem? First the "What Have You Done ..." thread and now this one? Plenty of people post photos from angles that are not what I'm looking for to understand how this tire size would look on the truck, but it's okay. They're happy! They're sharing about their truck! At this point there's a bajillion other photos for folx to reference in this thread. ONESICKTACO showed us his tire, idk why you gotta make such a fuss.

287/75/16 Toyo Open Country ATIII on stock rims. Rubbed the UCA and sway are at full lock or when off road so I added 1.25" Spidertrax spacers and had a CMC done. No more rubbing!20210828_160524.jpg

I currently am running 275/70/17's and am considering going 285/75/17's after I do the Wescott Designs collar lift up front. Will I notice they are bigger and better? Will I take a big mpg hit?

Of course you will, its a bigger tire, larger diameter and mpg might take a little hit too.

    That’s considered a 34” tire.

I’ve used that tire size calculator before but never seen the comparison. Thanks for the input!

I was asking to see if anyone had personally made the jump from those tire sizes I mentioned.

I did that mistake on my 02 4runner, went 265s then to 285s and it sucked. Everyone said it wouldn't be much difference and it was a hit. My neighbor went to 285s on his Pro Tacoma and killed his mileage. His wife bought a used 4runner with 285s on the Pro Sema wheels and she he went with 275s, nice happy middle for their 4runner.

Thank you. I actually purchased the shell off Craigslist, I was able to get a decent deal on it.

This is a show your 285 thread not a complain about your experience thread.
