Both are limited by the strength of the crossmember as you can imagine. Stock OR hook is forged and is plenty strong, but it may not be as friendly with ropes with off-angle pulls.

I did one search for Mountain Warehouse sleeping bags (which turned up that eBay listing) and now my FB feed has Mountain Warehouse ads like these:

Anyone have experience with a soft topper in the winter? Thinking of getting one.

I have one. It's fine. Jeeps have had them for decades with no issue

I have similar recovery point, bolted and then welded all around. No issues, but do weld it.

I have no problem trusting the stock recovery hook. But if I were to replace it I'd certainly want to use the 3 bolts that are available at that location.

Yeah, sounds good. No issues with being crushed by heavy snow loads?

Not in the one winter I've had. Mostly just slides off the sides. Slept in it a couple times last winter. Won't be the same as a hard shell if that's your intention but more than suitable.

I would go with a hard shell, but I haul dirtbikes in the bed, so that's a no go. I also haul some bulky items in the bed, so I would love a cap. Might sleep in it a few times, but far from my first priority, I have a travel trailer for that.

If that's all you have then it works to get you out of a situation.

Yeah, I did that. Figured I may as well throw up a thread on that 1% chance something does come up.

We got the locker actuator replaced last night, it was pretty easy since we had done most of the hard work days ago. It just came off :anonymous:

While under the truck, Jeremiah notified me that my passenger side rear spring pack has the top leaf, the most important one, broken.
