With that many miles, the plugs stand out to me as your most likely culprit. See my email and we’ll go from there.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
    This^^^
Cold plugs get replaced more often. Friends had a crazy blown jet boat and it got spark plugs every trip out. Performance comes at a price.

Unless you need to get in there for other reasons… I like to combine my jobs. Nose service, Inter cooler seal, cam gears, plugs.

I do as well, it's easier that way. I just like to minimize surgery as much as possible when it comes to pulling that lid because of that dumb rubber intercooler gasket.

For you dyslexic folk, m102a is not the same as m201a lol. Hoped it would fit after I noticed but it does not :-(

Went back and they were actually out of m102a. So I bought m205a and 209a. They both fit! But what's the difference between the two? Same height and diameter. Just noticed the 205a has a dented top so going with the 209 I guess...

All printed with 3/4 I6 on the top. The 201a was 1/2 MM

Just a tad bit more filter surface and oil capacity. I think the oil canister takes a couple milliseconds to fill as well even with the internal anti drain valve so cranking seemed take a couple revolutions to start-up. I used to run the larger Denso but have switch to the 102a and find that she starts up easier or so I've convinced my self.
