Oh, Cole and I had smoked backstrap and sweet meat for lunch

We saw 8 deer this morning, one was a shooter but the fog set in and we couldn’t see him. Hopefully this afternoon he can pinch.

Pretty sure the Toyota service guy was hitting on me.

Because a 40 year old guy with a Highlander is for sure single, right? o_O

The things one does for Free Coffee and Donuts!.

Then I was told it would be much cheaper if my dealer delivered my parts compared to the Coffee and Donuts I consumed .

No donuts and the cappuccino, which is usually great, is watered down.

And it took 2 hours for the oil change and tire rotation.

    :annoyed:

The Tacoma just got checked it. It better not take that long.

And a sales guy came over as soon as I hit the lot asking if I was interested in trading the Tacoma in.

Apparently "straight up for a '21 Pro SR" isn't doable.

Someone isn't working very hard for his commission.

    :D

The Tacoma took an hour and a half.

He didn't give me the car wash passes he said he was going to but after almost 4 hours at the dealership, I just wanted to go home.

I really hope i get the "how was your recent service" email from Toyota.

Rust and manure and new battery cables.
351k on my Tacoma. 110k on the 2001 4Runner engine that went into it last year. I ran it with a head gasket drinking two gallons of water a day before I finally swapped the engine out. It looked like a steam engine at stop lights in the winter before the engine warmed up. I wasn't about to put a new head gasket in an engine with over 310k miles at the time when it started leaking. I kept waiting for it to blow up and it never would! I put in a new clutch kit but the original disc, cover and bearings were still good! All original u-joints, wheel bearings, tranny and rear end still. I did replace the brakes and front ball joints twice though.

Hey you guuuuyyyys, I had The Goonies on television just this evening.
Been absent from the forum for a couple of days but getting some rest and relaxing in. Today I got back on the Corvette and the rear end, everything back there is done, all but bleeding the brakes and getting alignment done. So that new shock mount come in. The wheel cylinders for the rear brakes on Olds came in, but I buttoned that back up without going further. I ordered 2 new drums and shoes. Obvious why the brake fluid come out almost as fast as I could put it in.

Looks like yours was leaking worse than mine was.

Doesn't look like there is any lining left on the top of the shoe.

I sure hope 1996 was 25 years ago for everyone. :spy:

    Looks tasty.

I helped my dad and brother run a couple strands on the fence at my parents' place. My dad has been working on getting a 5-strand fence up for the last 1-1.5 years. All the posts are in, so now it's just running the wire. The section we worked on yesterday is around a 1/4 mile long.

Yes good eye, tops of shoes were worn to the rivets and slightly grooved the drum. I should have taken the drum off before ordering other parts but.....just everything takes time and I was hoping to slap some new wheel cylinders in there so my wife can sell the car.
This is a car she purchased and paid $2,500.00 for and is a $800.00 car at best. I didn't have time to go look at it. The guy who sold it advertised it as a Cutlass Supreme.
I told the wife it should be at minimum a 6 cylinder and rear wheel drive. This is a 4 cylinder FWD turd. Then when I was edging the driveway I think a rock got tossed up and broke a rear quarter window.
    The whole ordeal :frusty:
    Oh, Cutlass Cierra is model.
Today I have other vehicle maintenance on sons winter driver, windshield wiper motor. Also have a new clock spring and turn signal switch for my daughters Jeep.
    My work is never done!

Oldsmobubble I replaced the rear quarter glass in yesterday. Took a few hours. I'm not sure where the wife found it but some glass place in Lincoln. Must have been a unicorn.

When you see shoe wear like that it usually indicates the self adjusters are frozen up, with that mess you have you might have to play archaeologist and excavate them!

The GM A bodies weren't bad little cars, the 2.5 engine is no fireball but durable. The 3.8 V6 was optionally available in those cars -- now that did make the car a pretty zippy package. :burnrubber:

My wife loves string lights lol. I have work lights for at the ground level, but the string lights work out because anything brighter (or fluorescent lighting) would be much more obnoxious to my neighbors.
