Good morning. Turned the heat on last night and the boiler never fired up. Guess change of plans today and try to figure out what is going on. Or not going on.

There is a tick borne disease Alpha-gal Syndrome that makes you allergic to land based meat. Getting it is one of my greatest fears.

I spent 20 years watching water boil and turbines go round and round. Most likely you work with a bunch of Ex Navy Pit Snipes. You may even know what Cold Iron means... Used to get my hands on Power Magazine when ever I could and read them, they used to have a section in the back called Salty Dog. Always figured I'd go from propulsion engineering to stationary but ended up in computers and been there for the last 26 years since I retired. Wait I'm still working so am just retarded...

Good luck hope the maiden voyage goes well. I'm so done with tents of any type at this stage of my life. Probably should sell off my gear and have a lot of it.

Would even sleep in the back of the Taco sometimes up until I was 59 or so

Now it is a cabin. Heat. Electricity. Hot water and shower. Bed. Toilet that flushes. I've gotten soft LOL but my bones like comfort now.

 VERY Nice! I know the feeling :)

For me at least I can identify what happened. I had back surgery from a fall at work. L4 L5 area. Should have been easy but I got staph and it transitioned into my spinal fluid and caused Bacterial menengitus. Was a bad deal 13 surgeries, severed nerves, told I would not walk again. Intensive care for 3 weeks. But I am alive and walking and strong so life is good.

I had Menengitus & Mono when I was about 7-8 years old. Damn glad I didn't end up with those side effects!

Yeah, you've got a lot going on there. I'm into gadgets too, and RUSH. LOL. So sorry to here about Neil. Such a great drummer, the best.
Snipes and I were really good friends. Only sailors who could raise hell on liberty, and get back to the ship before she sailed. I miss those phuckers.

This morning my wife was showing me what she was wearing to work today (a black top, tight black jeans and boots).
My 3 year son's train table is only a couple of feet away from us and as mommy is showing me her outfit my son says "look at that big caboose!!"
For the record she's very slender but his timing was perfection

Lived with it all my life, dad had it, grandfather, etc.

It's just something to push through, humor is my main weapon, but sometimes I embrace it, don't talk to anyone and it passes.

    Meds help too

No, not really. In a pretty dark place. It’ll pass and I am now seeing a little bit of light on the horizon.

Same here - runs in the family. Doing what I can and have been getting the help I need.

Thanks. I appreciate the friendship you all give.

    Let's see:
Covid is unforgiving and relentless. Rest of us are surviving. Fall is now here. Weeza is still knocking over desks. States she need to get rich quick. I think that about sums it up.
Just glad to know we're all still breathing and going about our normal lives as best we can.
