I just had my frame ( really) sealed from dealer. Another BS. Recall
Not sure what wax does to help
    Added plugs or something too
:notsure:To keep frame from holding water
I said why are you plugging it? Shouldn’t you be drilling holes? Then he printed out a 650 page info spec for me to read

Yeah @Gritto nothing wrong with A2 flash suppressor and that's what was included with that rifle originally. I just made that one for something to do one day and I think it just makes a different looking ball of fire lol
Actually had a former coworker who was quite knowledgeable about firearms tell me that those flash hider were more about troops in combat, say peeking up out of a trench or foxholes and to keep the big blast of dust and dirt from being kicked up in front of their faces, due to muzzle blast...why their closed on the bottom half.

Ha, I'm too cheap any more to spring for a suppressor plus the bigass gov't tax on 'em.
Yeah, I figured your 300 BO might be less than rifle length.
The 300 BO in a suppressed shortie, seems to be popular these days.

I'm the last guy in the world to question anyone's gun buying preferences.
Man, if I had all the money I've spent on shooting sports...
It's not the firearms, you can recoup most of that money by reselling when you lose interest.
No, I shot perhaps 150k shotshells in a ten year period...and that was small potatoes compared to the big boys.
I wasn't winning the money they were, either. :p

    That's exactly right.
It was more about venting the gas upwards before it exited the flash hider, so as not to raise a big puff of dust.

Ha, yeah it's not cheap but there are other hobbies that cost too. I've never been into golf even though it looks like it might be fun, just never tried it. I don't gamble and have seen people piss away thousands of dollars doing that. Meh, I enjoy shooting and the whole reloading thing, it takes some tinkering to get the right recipe and keeps me busy. I live outside of town so I can shoot out to 300 yards or better, right from my house, back yard. At my leisure.

I wish I could give more than one like.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

    That's a good perspective.
    A man needs hobbies.

Mrs Gritto was okay with my trapshooting (I eventually burned out on that).
She said: "At least you're not gambling, I guess I'll keep you."
    And I didn't.

Trapshooting has a gambling component though.
Luckily, I wasn't dumb enough to play the options.
My odds weren't good for beating the pros. :p

Trapshooting place just a few miles West of me. I can hear them every Sunday morning. I bet that would be fun too.
Well Gritto, time for me to call it a day. Enjoy the rest of evening and catch all of whateverville tomorrow perhaps.
    G'night

We will be closing ours up this month. Turn the pump off, drain the lines out best we can and put the cover on.
