    I've ridden the Empire Builder from Mn. to Chicago with my oldest son. Then to Buffalo NY and back. Even took my Pullman to ride in a Pullman car. With my last airline tags still attached...

    [IMG]

    When waiting on the transfer at Chicago Union Station my son wanted a Chicago Dog and knew where to get the best in town.

    [IMG]

    The dog was actually pretty decent. Amtrak not so much. If a person was really retired and not in a hurry maybe not so bad. Son is in the top 5% of OCD cases in the US and can't drive or fly Amtrak is about all that is left. He moved to Boston, been a few years since I've seen him.

    Morning friends. Another nice weather day on tap. Church day, today - it’s been a year to the day that my father passed. I’ll be spending the day with mom.

    In other news… got the old car out yesterday. First time in several months. Just me and “she who truly loves me” (I.e. dog :D) went for a nice ride with the top down. All she needs is a scarf and sunglasses…

    Enjoy the day with your mother and happy remembrances of your father. Mine has been gone for over 16 years and I still think of him often.

    We have a restaurant in town, that has Chicago style pizza and dogs. The owner is from Chicago where had a restaurant.
    Best pizza and dogs I've ever had, from a restaurant.

    It was :hungry::thumbsup:
    Mary used the recipe from the church cookbook. The same recipe thats used for the church's Apple Pie Harvest Festival.

    :hattip:Good morning everybody. Enjoy your coffee, have an extra cup.

    Gun show yesterday wasn’t anything special, gun show & Covid panic prices are crazy! Glad there was nothing that caught my eye. Lol. I did score an open brick of large pistol primers (800 WLP) for $50.

    @vssman good to see you back. Hang in there, it WILL get better.

    That is so badass. I have wanted to take a train trip for decades. Got to do a lot of it in Europe but only one over night. I was obsessed with the Orient Express. Just class.
    I'm ready. These suit cases are older than me, and in perfect condition for a train trip. I hauled these into a hotel in Georgia one evening and some guy said "bet those did not go through a airport....LMAO

    ratatouille moved into the 3 season porch. We have built in cupboards and they decided to move into one of them. So, I laid out a few traps. Just checked and one is gone! :eek:

    Reminds me of the Sylvester cartoon where the mouse is a kangaroo…

    Such a peaceful morning here , nothing but the sounds of birds chirping and the occasional dog barking in the distance
