Hi all, I’m new to the Tacoma world and just took delivery of my 2021 TRD Off road. I want to add a light bar for braking and blinker under the tailgate, thinking of the OPT7 I think it is. I also want to add a light bar in the grill somewhere, maybe in the gap just above the bumper and right below the actual grill. I also want to add amber LED fog lights.

If anyone has any pics of the OPT7 in their truck and care to share, or offer alternatives I’d greatly appreciate any input.

Also if anyone has any recommendations on the other 2 items, sources would be greatly appreciated as well.

    TIA

    Welcome to TW!

Can't help on recs for light bars, but for fogs Diode Dynamics' SS3s (in selective yellow for poor weather visibility) are definitely the best around. If you're interested in a bunch of specs and data, crashnburn80 has incredibly detailed threads on both headlight upgrades and fog upgrades.

If you haven't already, I'd try searching "OPT7" to see if anyone else here has threads or posts about it. There's probably also some thread with general recommendations on light bars. Seems to me like people really like Cali Raised LED's bars.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I’ll check out those fogs. I want the amber just for that reason, I live in the north east and we get a lot of snow and fog at times too, so amber/yellow I know works best. I’ll do a quick search for the OPT7 I know one down side is it covers the hole for the spare, maybe there is a work around for that I’d have to seek out. From what I’ve been briefly perusing Cali Raised seems to be popular. Not looking to break the bank and these seem reasonably priced, but I know you get what you pay for, no issues there not trying to be a show truck and things will break I know. lol

I forgot to mention! Be sure to get the Pro or Max SS3s- the Sports don't generate enough heat to melt snow/ice off the lens.

If there is a work around for that, I'm sure someone here has found and documented it

Welcome to the forum. Very easy to add a light bar up front.

Welcome to TW! I can say I'm really happy with my CaliRaisedLED light bar behind the grille. Great quality and fairly simple to install.

Is there any way you can take a picture from the top down behind the grille that shows how far back the light housing sticks? I’m worried I won’t be able to reach my winch disconnect if I install this light but I really want it!!

Welcome from another recently new member.

Interesting setup you're looking for...I know weight is a factor when installing bumper with light bar addition...that's my goal.

The light bar hidden in the grill does look nice!
