    What a week. The first friend that my wife ever had died last week while on vacation. She was 53. The first friend I ever had died yesterday of the big C. He was 55 and a healthy individual up until this. Funny story about him. His dad died when he was 3 years old and his mother thought he needed a father figure in his life so she signed him up for the Big Brother mentor program. We were about 12 andeould be hanging out on saturdays and he would have to go home early because his “Big Brother” would be picking him up to go to a movie, bowling etc. The guy took him places every Saturday for about a month. Then he would give him 20 bucks for us to go roller skating and drop us off. Here he was going right back to his house to nail his mom!! :rofl::rofl:He ended up marrying her and was a great father to him. You just never know when your time is up. Count your blessings.

    On a positive note… I’m about to schedule my first ever whole week off of work. 5/28-6/4/2022 I will be going to Corolla, NC. (Outer Banks)We got an 8 bedroom house and we will actually be able to have my mom, all of my kids and grandchildren all together in the same place for a whole week. It’s hard to get everyone together for longer than a day anymore.

    Shitty week all around.

    On Friday morning my older sister had a massive stroke. They life flighted her to KU Med in KC but the damage was too severe for her to have any chance of recovery. My niece and nephews made the decision to take her off life support Saturday afternoon. She's still hanging in there but it's just a matter of time. Say a little prayer for Linda K. if you're so inclined.
