adjusting & aiming hids?!?!?

so got my hids installed today and they look amazing but the headlights seem to be aimed a little high.. it looks clearly high when driving but hasnt seemed to bothered ANY oncoming traffic today but still id like aim them down. ANy advice on how to aim them down would b much apprciated.>??

also ive heard there are knobs that cant adjust the headlight height does that apply to the us or newer tacos???)

 

people flash me and slow down in front of me all the time my headlights are very bright its getting kinda annoying waiting for the day when someone gets road rage over my hids

 

Maybe they're telling you something?

You either need to tone them down a bit, or aim them down a bit.

 

Or do it right and install projectors...

 

Not for me. My wife's Murano has them and the cutoff on the top of the beam is very sharp. You see only to the limit of the cutoff and nothing, absolutely nothing beyond that. Regular headlines let you see some of the road ahead and you are able to see a turn coming. I've had the vehicle in the Nissan dealer to get them aimed and they tell me that it is just the nature of the beam.

Driving in the hills is downright scary even at slow speed. When pointed downhill you can tell there is a change in elevation ahead but have no idea of how much or if there is a turn. My wife thought I was blowing smoke until we put the two vehicles side by side and she was surprised how much more you see with the Tacoma headlights.
