Try not to worry too much, I've had that problem with a few cats like that. Jr., a male I've known since his birth, is one in particular, he will show up when he feels like it or needs a place to hide.

He's back this morning! I was a little worried that coyotes or something might have got him.

My daughter just woke up, noticed that Ghost had returned. Happy.
I said he's returned from his walkabout. Lol, she didn't know what I was talking about so had her look it up. Kids these days...

Making his rounds prob. In idaho We had a tom cat the owners of the house we bought left, kinda stuck around for a while but then disappeared. Figured coyotes got him, couple years later saw he shacked up at neighbors about mile away...found himself a girlfriend:D living the good life i guess.

Zero will be one in a few days. Man she has grown fast! She has definitely come a long way and become very well mannered and could seriously get away with murder with her sweetness lol.

Can't really call her feral anymore as she's become a member of the family. She comes inside to eat, we stopped putting food outside and required her to come just inside the door to eat. She will now come in and eat and let me pet her and rub her cheeks and ears, she can't seem to get enough of rubbing her head.

There is still an uneasy truce with our two house cats so I put them in the back room when Sara comes inside to eat. They still interact at the patio doors but still not sure if all will get along if inside together.

Man you sure must be a glutton for punishment. If you’ve got a buddy with a size 14 foot and pair of steel toe boots you should just ask him to give you a swift kick in the nuts.

Very cute little kitty. Being that it's so friendly it should be an inside kitty, they will all get used to each other.

She still would rather be outside but I suspect that will change when it gets cold. She comes inside to eat and loiters around the open door but any sudden movements or loud noise and she bolts out the door. She will walk around the kitchen and living room if we sit on the couch away from the door and use the litter box by the back door but she still has some wild left in her.

She will let me pet her if I lay down on the floor by the door but will back away if I get to my feet.

My ferrals are still like that when I'm walking around, but as soon as I sit they are all over me, lol. Some of them never fully loose the wild, others you can tell where never meant to be outside. I have one ferral male, Stanley, that has to lay on me and when he does he won't let the others near me, lol. They have to take turns.
