I pull a 22' pontoon w/90hp, a 232 Caravelle Interceptor w/350 mag. And a 18' Mallard Travel trailer. All with no problems. But I am installing Timbrens this coming week to help with the small squat from the TT.

I've gotten to pull out two F350s and one Jeep.
Otherwise, I haul a TON of wood pellets 3x / yr for my pellet stove on an overly taxed trailer ;).

When I first got my truck some guy flagged me down to help him pull his Ford Explorer along with a trailer and a fridge on it. I was worried because I had a bigger Dodge truck with a V8 and did not know what my truck could do being smaller and having a V6.

Well, I pulled his vehicle along with said items to the nearest gas station on idle most of the way :)

2002 Malibu Wakesetter VLX, ~ 5000 lbs. with gear, I pull this two or three times a week about 80 miles round trip from Easter to October. The trailer has a brake buddy system that works off the tongue, so braking is not an issue. As far as the truck handling the load I couldn't be happier. I have an F350 powerstroke that I haul large loads with and was worried that my Tacoma might not perform anywhere close to what I was used to, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Here is my dad when the truck was his. He towed the boat all the time, and even brought it through the adirondack mountains in upstate new york a few summers. that was an impressive haul for that truck. just about at the max towing capacity with the camping gear in the back.

It did very well. I got 11mpg up the mountains in cali and first part of AZ. Then close to flag I got 8.5mpg, My brother drove that tank and floored it a lot. We kept 75mph pret easy in 4th (flat and slight inclines) in AZ. But in cali of course limit is 55:mad:.

These are not re-calculated milages. My OD is 7.5% slow according to my GPS.

Honestly... Nothing major like everybody else but thought it was a worthy story..

I had a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 2dr coupe that crapped out on me then 3 days later i bought my Taco and on the 2nd day of ownership i towed my Grand Prix home cause the engine popped and it had just enough power left to pull into a parking lot. This parking lot was 30 miles away from my house.

It was a Knight in Shiney (Rad Red) Armor story! LOL!

    Pulled a 6 x 12 Uhaul trailer (3700lbs) from San Jose, CA to Washington D.C. (3050mi).

Did it with my old supercharged 98 4x4 ext cab... seems like I got about 15mpg, had to gear down on the hills... haven't towed anything with the 09 yet...
