I can actually see at night now on the 1250R. I don't know why BMW went with a crappy halogen headlights in this when everything else gets good quality bright LEDs. Anything over about 45moh at night on unit roads and I was outrunning the stock headlight beam even after adjusting the aim and putting in brighter Osram bulbs.

Other weird stuff too, like the heated grips. My 750GS had three settings, this only has two. Just seems like it would be easier and cheaper for BMW to only produce one version of them.

 

I also ride a motorcycle and the wife rides a Ryker

Needed to show some love to the other 2 bikes I own this weekend so Friday after work I spent some time washing and detailing my vintage Honda CB400F to prep it for a car and bike show at a nearby American Legion post.



I've taken the little Honda to this show before and managed a second place trophy 2 years ago. I guess this year I cleaned it up a little better.



My first ever first place trophy with it. Got a lot of attention. Competition included a nice 1963 Triumph and a 1992 Sportster.
Today the Buell needed some miles on it for once so I added about 150 to the odometer.



This is about 2 miles from Pine Grove Furnace State Park on Route 233 which is a great motorcycle road.

Had to take the new bike and drop it off for the 500 mile check yesterday.

 

Got my aux lighting installed today. Made a bracket to hang the BDS2 under the stock headlight and a simple toggle switch just above the forks.

 

I gots all kinds a junks,i don't by new...i buy as cheap as possible...restore stuff... and resell it.

 

Would say he must be sweating his ass off, but... that’s the only thing not protected

 

It was 45 degrees….

 

Don't forget the entire face. Having ground mine off the pavement when I was young and dumb I would never wear a half helmet that provides no real protection.

So one delership offered me 5k for my Ducati as a trade. They had the bike in stock. But 5k was way too low.

waited a few weeks, and went to an actual Honda dealership, and now they are going to give me 9k as trade! Im putting a deposit today. But don't know when it will come in. Hopefully this year!
