This really came out nice. I have similar issues on my dark green, clear coat peeling away on the a-pillars and tops of the doors. When you did this, did you have to do any cutting/buffing to get the clear coats to blend together where you had it taped off? I am debating taking this project on myself or just wrapping it a different color.. what are your thoughts after having tackled this?

I only did it myself the first time. I never blocked or blended it in the long run, because it was over the top of the door, and the little sill on the windows. No one ever even noticed. But when it spread past what I had done, down the pillar, further down the doors, I went to my tint guy who had just opened his body shop effort. I take my fix job back after a couple weeks, then he blocks it. Section by section as the cracking spread! I've paid about $250 each section, and I can't beat that.

Oh yeah - he actually used some color to blend and match - I never knew that until this time! As long as you have color underneath the scuffed clear, you shouldn't even need to paint first. I didn't.

If you're only concern now is the A pillar and over the door, I would just consider doing the 3M pad, DIY spray on the first page of my digest. The color difference would be so small at the A pillar/hood line, I doubt you'd have an issue. And that would cost less than $75 with your elbow grease.

EDIT: I've edited this like three times, with my old man memory at work!

Thanks for going through this in detail for me. That really is hard to beat, id be stoked with that for the end result. I do believe there is still some color left on mine, but it is starting to look rough. I had the hood and roof repainted a couple years back, and now the tops of the fenders, doors, and a-pillars have caught up. I may try to do this myself and if it doesnt look good, just go ahead and wrap the thing and call it a day. I've always wanted an orange truck anyways :D

Howdy Danny! Mine was great, hope you had a nice one as well. I sure hope we get some rain, it's been a desert out my way.

I know, been teased a couple of times and just stayed west of us, so hopefully this time we'll get some. Weekend was good just spent it with the family. A little different now with the kiddos in school so weekends are pretty much spent with them. All good though

I was in the market for a ‘22 T4R Pro. I found one at another dealer. However, just recieved a call from this one that they are getting an MGM today or tomorrow that someone backed out. They want MSRP, however, the original person ordered an aftermarket lift to be installed. Give her a call and see what they can do!
