21Pro Tacoma 2” lift and retaining current suspension?

    So iv read some articles saying it’s lifted already but Toyota telling me it’s not… so what’s the best way to lift this thing 2” but maintaining current suspension?? I have found out it’s 1.5” in the front and .5 in the rear. Also seeing a lift specifically for the pros by https://westcottdesigns.net/product/2020-2021-tacoma-fox-trd-pro-lift-kit/ anyone know anything about these?

    I’ve heard many times that the TRD Pro comes from the factory with a 1” higher ride height in the front compared to the other trims. Since it comes from the factory that way it doesn’t really have a “lift”. AFAIK, the preload on the coil overs is not adjustable, therefore there is no way to change the ride height without modifying the suspension. People sometimes put a top-coilover spacer in the front and either a block or a add-a-leaf in the back.

    Eibach makes replacement coils, they're 13"×3"×620#. You could also get some Icon springs that are 13"×3"×650# as well.

    Those seem short for a 3rd gen.

    The stock pro springs are 12"

    I would think most people would agree that a "lift" is defined as an increase in vehicle height based on adding to or replacing stock suspension components. Meaning, the 3rd Gen does not have a 1" lift compared to a 2nd Gen, it's just an inch higher stock. And a Pro does not have a one inch lift, it's just an inch higher than the other 3rd Gen models, stock.

    I'd think the perspective on lifting a Pro or any other truck would be a simple question of whether the vehicle height is as high as the owner desires, and if not, make the changes necessary to lift it to your heart's content.

    I got curious, so I measured my take-off stock 2020 TRD OR coils. Assembled with the shock (but not installed on the truck) with unknown preload they are 12.75” long. That gives a lower limit on their length.

    Guys... springs can be a certain length uncompressed, and compress to a different length based on the spring rating.

    A 16" 300lb spring will sit lower than a 13" 700 lb spring.

    With all that said, OP please don't put the cheapest spacer lift you can find after spending the most amount of money possible on a tacoma.

    No one is saying anything different. There is just a lack of information on the length (and spring rate a bit too) of the various coil springs; stock and aftermarket.
