New Bilstein 8112 Coilovers !

I want to replace my 5100s w these 8112 coilovers? and pretty much leave the 5100s in the rear & the AAL.
Has anyone done this yet?

 

The ride quality will not match between the front and rear.

 

How big of a difference would it be? what would be the difference?

Nice! Look a lot like Camburg's. Another nice balljoint option! I noticed a huge improvement in ride & drivability with my UCA's, leveling & alignment.

I was within moments of buying the Camburg ball joint UCAs but ended up taking another look at the Bilstein’s & found them for cheaper, even though they retail the same price

 

Anyone get ahold of the quick adjusters for the 8100’s yet? Definitely want them for mine.

Fronts are not adjustable.
Rears are with an Allen and box wrenches.

 

yeah I know. They just released quick adjusters for the rears. So you don’t have to use the Allen wrench

 

I’ve had my 5100s for over 2 years now w no complaints.. but am ready to upgrade.. just don’t if I can swing all the way 8112s.. I might just step up too 6112s & 5160s.. w the new UCAs

I would like these, but in my experience, the action is tight. I'm not sure could get enough leverage with my fingers to turn them. A ball-end extended Allen (or 3/8 socket ball end Allen) is easiest for me. Wonder what effort it takes to retrofit - is that pull them off and send them out for be done at the servicing facility?

Anyone running lower control arms with these? Blew out my stock ones. Thinking of going total chaos.

Not needed due to the internal hydraulic bottom out circuits, per Bilstein.

 

My stock lower control arm bushings are bad and the joint on my left side isn’t great either. So I just plan on upgrading my lower control arms is all.
