Thanks! Just hoping now that I have V5’s with no bad LED’s to put in there. Will find out Wednesday.

@daveeasa ... I am interested as well. Got V5 but no plans of getting grille lights. Watching this thread.

So last night I did 2 for @Ooh-it's all squishy! and I will admit, they took me a lot longer than I thought they should. @Shadowhunter is getting the short end of the stick as he was #1 in line on custom harness stuff before this LED T tap business. Right now I have 2 more to make which should be doable tonight, I have the v5 portions done, somehow that takes a bit of time too. I may have to push prices up a smidge b/c I don't want to be doing lots of grunt work for minimum wage when I have dozens of truck mods of my own sitting in boxes waiting for me to get to them. For now I'm mostly working through the best plan. I think the ones I did for @Ooh-it's all squishy! were too tight, I should have grabbed a photo of them, they are more like mini T's or lowercase t's than what you might expect. I'll try to add a little bit of length for the next 2 so that it's less assembly time, the tighter the tolerances, the more effort it is get get everything seated properly.

@txranger83 paid me a bit extra and at the time I thought it was a bit too much but after last night's effort (3-4h ish for one headlight harness, one v5 for existing T and two new T's with one side v5) it doesn't seem so crazy price-wise.

I do think I'll get in a bit of a groove eventually and I can likely assembly line some things once I hit that point. So, it could turn into a slightly lower price for the standard tap of DRL, Park and Ground then a bit more for anyone wanting extra signals like high beams or turns.

There's no way I can approach the $15 price point on this, in parts plus shipping I'd already be losing money, so once MESO has something for you guys that's the way to go for sure.

I'm curious to hear from @ktbell444 who should get the first set of these as he's pretty meticulous and he may well have feedback/suggestions.

Yeah I'm still not sure what to order. I guess the connector is personal choice & I should just choose only drl from the options for the V5's.
    Thanks

I may just remove the Yazaki option from the order form. I think everyone is best served with AMP as you can specify # of positions exactly how you want and my modular approach is married to the AMP connector. The standard is 3 position AMP for ground, DRL and Parking Light feeds. For Switch-Pros you might want 4 to gain access to the high beam signal for triggers. Then some guys doing fancy stuff might want to grab the turns. Beyond 4 positions, though, it gets hard to build b/c 5 wide is ugly and 3x6 position connectors is bulky as well. I do have a few options in 6 position but it seems unlikely that much of a tap is truly needed.

Yeah, the v5 switchback T tap is a known thing. It'll be 3 position AMP to 3 position male with plug on ground and feeds for DRL and Parking Light matching MESO's chosen color scheme (red for DRL, white for parking light). I'm hoping for some quick feedback from others on the stuff I've sent to see how the lengths and looks match their preferences and expectations.

Your order looks good. I can read between the lines once I know the intended use(s).

This is only for factory LED trucks. See my headlight harnesses thread for halogen to led conversion harness.

I think the money is fair, it would cost me way more to buy all the parts not to mention the time it has taken you to learn what to do

Switching to a 4” length made things considerably easier last night. Efficiency definitely improves with repetition.

Awesome to hear they're on the move! Charge what keeps doing these worth it for you, I don't think anyone will complain (at least I won't). Can't wait for mine, my v5's showed up yesterday.

Do we have an order for you yet? I don’t think we do, right? If so would you mind doing that part? I have the form revisions done. I obviously forgot to do yours last night but I think I’m caught up.

Looking forward to the MESO V5 guide/pictures. Auto wiring & electrical stuff in general makes me go cross eyed, need caveman pictures on where to cold solder everything and wrap in duct tape.

@JFanaselle or @ktbell444 might be able to offer some guidance? I’m fairly poor at explaining things and I have not yet done my own. And I’m planning to do with puddles so probably a custom harness for both.

Wow, 5 orders tonight, looks like I will be doing some crimping now. I may not get all 5 done this evening but let's shoot for at least 3 to start.
