thats what i wanted to use but i wasnt sure how well the plastic and metal would bond. once the 3m tape fails, ill probably epoxy the clips

VERY good idea. waiting for my ScanguageII to arrive.. Was thinking of mounting it on the wheel center but I think I am Going to mount it that way as well. Already have the GPS over the mirror so i will mount the SG on the left side.

you might want to try epoxy instead of 3m tape, the only reason i didnt do it is i had the 3m tape at my house already and didnt wanna buy epoxy lmao

"A" for ingenuity. I doubt the tape will hold forever. Tape is a metaphor for relationships. They start off good and strong, but then they no longer stick, and you will find yourself rather let down. The bond is not as strong as you imagined. Just give it time, you will see...;)

how is the headliner affixed to the ceiling? can you just rip it away to put wire in there and then have it stay put?

dont rip it lol, you can pull it down about a half inch with no problems. it is glued to the foam insulation in the roof, so just pull it GENTLY down and you will be just fine. i couldnt get my fingers underneath it at first, so i just put a small and flat flatblade screwdriver underneath it against the front windshield and pulled it down just enough to get my fingers underneath it

Hmmm if it's anything glued on.. i'm hesitant to "pull" it.. I mean I'd imagine you'd have to pull the length of the wire running across the windshield...

its glued about 3 inches or so in. not right up against the front windshield. you will be fine as long as you dont try to hang from it or some shit lol
