How long did it take for your Softopper to ship?

    Anyone have updates? I can’t get ahold of customer service through phone/email, exactly like the Bestop side of the company when I had a question for them.

    Spoke with customer service on Wednesday afternoon. The lady on the phone was very apologetic and said clamps will be in this coming Friday or at the latest the following Monday. She updated my fed ex shipping to priority one day delivery once the clamps arrive. My order was for a longbed. I ordered on July 21st.

    Ordered the same thing, got a tracking number the next day and it got my hopes up but after reading the rest of this thread it seems like they provide tracking before it’s shipped…seems like a strange policy.

    My calls and emails went unanswered. I ordered aug 17, so not expecting to be in the first batch out the door, but still would appreciate some sort of update or information about my nearly $1000 order lol.

    Not sure policy, but seem common depending on their software/ordering a label would/could be created in that process. Tag goes on an empty box with order number on it sitting there until they can fill the box with the goods. I dunno.

    Love the look of the truck … I almost went with the bestop over the softopper . I didn’t much care for the design of getting into the bestop the softopper is so much nicer .

    Ordered bestop 2, in a 6 ft config, black...in June, just received this past week, 3rd week of Sept.

    Got a 6 ft frame that attached to bed rails with 5 ft top and 5ft top frame that folds

    Logged my issue via email and called cc company to log dispute...will see where this goes.

    10/1 Update - Received a call back on the following monday, packed up old top, picked up by Fed Ex on Wednesday, received new one on Thursday, all is good. Zero issues with Customer Service.

    My latest update…. Ordered July 18th and yesterday, September 24th, I received this.

    “I sincerely apologize for our delayed response. We are experiencing a sudden, exponential increase in orders and incoming inquiries which has completely inundated our customer service team with calls and emails. We are working hard to ship your items as soon as possible.

    Unfortunately, due to high order volume, manufacturing, and supply delays due to COVID-19, Softopper is experiencing longer than normal delivery times. We are building tops like crazy and working to get our products back in stock as soon as possible. We will do our best to keep you informed on your backordered items, but sometimes the dates may slip due to material shortages beyond our control. We are doing our very best, working overtime, and hiring more people.

    Your Softopper was originally scheduled to ship out on 09/20/2021 but was delayed due to a shortage of rear assembly bars needed to complete your order. Fortunately, we just got a shipment of materials needed to make more rear bars today and are sending out all the affected orders today and next week Monday, 09/27/2021.

    Once your order leaves our facility, your FedEx tracking information will update with an estimated delivery date. If your tracking information does not update by the end of the day on 09/27/2021, please contact us so we can resolve the issue.

    We thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we work through these tough times. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.”

    Mine didn’t ship Friday and to be honest I’m not holding my breath for Monday either. But we’ll see and I’ll keep you all posted.

    I just got a call from Softopper Customer Service that mine is on the FedEx truck and out for delivery today. 71 days. Hope all the parts are in there. :)

    Bummer part is I'm busy tearing out my kitchen counters prepping new ones to be installed Wednesday. On top of that it's raining through Thursday. I'll have to just do a parts check and wait for Friday night or Saturday morning to actually put it on.

    I’m about to go to the BBB and credit card company. I’ll wait for my item but the claiming a refund was sent is my gripe right now. No call no nothing. Total dumpster fire. I wouldn’t be surprised if this turns into another pelfrybuilt situation.

    If you can’t keep up with demand/product stop taking orders! My item said in stock and nothing about being back ordered. I even got the basic “pending” shipping notice.
