That sucked though because it went in pretty damn square all the way around; damn PVC worked great for that.

Think I'll take my own advice on getting a 3rd EXT travel axle ordered, and play musical chairs with those currently installed with torn boots to get them out and replaced.

Was stoked to find out I can just yank the CV axle out

that was pretty cool considering the housing that goes into the diff had no place to put a pry bar or hammer on it

I was going to say too, I've been stressing about your LBJ bolts since we couldn't get them to torque...I wonder if the bolts were stretching. Will be good to get that all swapped out next time

I should've just grabbed the new ones I had in my spider infested storage

Yeah, I've got those new LBJ's with bolts I need to install already.

But that requires replacing the TRE's since they're for a Tacoma.

Another case of the 'I don't wanna' :violent:

have to take the LBJ bolts out so you can swing the hub away and pull out the CV axle to get to the seal inside the diff tube

Now that cooler weather is back in town, I need to figure out why my driver seat belt is getting damp on foggy/overcast mornings. Makes my truck smell like a dirty gym bag when I leave the windows up.

No water stains on the headliner so I doubt it's coming in through the roof, probably the weather seal around the door maybe?

I’ve always taken it off the lca and maybe the tierod, can’t remember, and moved the spindle out of the way.

I’d much rather mess with the 1 or 2 studs than those 4 bolts

Yeah every time I mess with the LBJ bolts, the one time I broke one makes me sweat bullets now. I started putting @Kwikvette 's back on and then made him finish because I didn't want to be responsible for snapping one of them lol.

On the Corvette forum, there's another club you don't want to be a part of - FRC

There are two actually, but one of them is the cool kids club (fixed roof coupe, most times a Z06) but the other one is not so cool which is the flying roof club

On some models, you can latch down the rear of the targa top with a simple lever. Some forget to latch the front, or do it incorrectly, and next thing you know...you hit that 40mph mark and OFF IT GOES

They even have an emoji of a roof flying off IIRC

Took it off while back and plugged the holes, this has been happening for awhile though long before I removed the rack.

Headliner is dry, no stains from leaks. Don't think it's coming from the roof

So uhm, damn those EXT cv axles went up another $100 per.

I'll just throw my spare OEM in and replace via warranty from there.
