<knocking on wood as I type this> So far my new seal has been dry as a bone. I freeze the seals with grease on them to make installation easier.

I just happened to have a piece of black pipe about 18" long (e.g. cheater bar) that fits nicely over the existing handle.

I'm running just the 5100s all around on my 2nd gen. No complaints, they are stiffer than the stock shocks were but truck feels like it handles better.

I’m tempted to make an offer really. I can use the back window, the doors, maybe the whole front clip if I’m feeling saucy. Scrap the frame, sell the 4wd parts and drivetrain, maybe even break even.

His truck rides terribly. I can’t do much about the blocks and rough country rear shocks. But I can hopefully fix how the front rides with his blown stock shocks. Also might help his alignment since the JBA uppers shouldn’t be on a stock front suspension.

    Hey guys,

sorry if this is the wrong place but I’m a noob.

I’m looking for info on 1st gen wheel bearing replacements. I’ve checked around a little bit on here but most info I found is for 2nd / 3rd gen. Didn’t seem to be anything on the “mods / DIY” section unless I’ve overlooked it. I’m driving home so I won’t be able to delve deep into the threads until later …but thought someone here might point me in the proper direction. Thank you

Defiantly will make it a better ride. I am still running stock uppers at the 2.5 setting on the 5100s with no issues. Why did he get JBAs for a stock front end?

I sent a gentle email telling him why his price is too high and asked if he’s willing to negotiate. Seemed like hitting him with less than half right out of the gate would be a shock.

Yeah I think that's the best approach. He may get mad then in a month email you back when he hasn't sold it yet.
