They always break down, I got this one for $1,000 it was 1st listed at $2,500 after everything I got the parts I needed and still make $6,500 off it. I think @BartMaster1234 is still driving around with that grill.

Not many people opted for a luxury manual trans sedan in the 90s haha. It wasn't common even when these vehicles were common.

A shop lied to him or something. I sent him the JBAs because he told me that he had this one certain rough country lift kit installed and the truck couldn’t be aligned anymore. Turns out they left the front completely stock.

It’s been so painful dealing with aftermarket mods with my dad. He really just needs to stick with a stock vehicle in the future. He wants the new Bronco but I’m afraid he’ll buy the base model and try to upgrade it with rough country suspension like with his old TJ.

1st Gen front wheel bearings aren't a bolt on option. It requires disassembly and pressing in new bearings.

Should be a lot in the SoCal area. Check the early models that allow a Jim Wolf or tuned ECU.

I'm just looking for something to use as a winter commuter since we're expected to have a seriously rough one. I'd rather get totalled in a Maxima than the LC. Manual would be a nice bonus but I'll settle for a half decent auto too.

Wish we were closer. I'd let you drive the 99 SE 5MT whenever you like.

Get the VLSD auto trans from an I30t.. Those rival a Jeep in show and ice.

This should be all he needs for a good ride. Keep the JBAs on since they are already there. I'm sure he will like how the truck looks in the end.

My 97 had the VLSD and was very capable in the snow, I remember that, even with it's meh tires. I miss that car, wish I hadn't gotten rid of it sometimes.

I’m with you there. He’s had rough country suspension on his ~86 Bronco (rusted out before I was born), 00 F250, 04 TJ, and his Tacoma.

It would be smart to remove the blocks. I’ll see if he goes for it. Might have to just replace the front for now. And once the front rides better it might convince him to do the rear.

They really deserve to go out of business, other than their April fool's joke products the rest of their product line is an actual joke that only decreases the usefulness and quality of a vehicle.

97 was a good year. It has the improved timing chain guide.

It it was a Maxima with VLSD that was a rare bird. Most likely the Canadian version.
