Back of the house...

 

The house was built in the 1940s, and I'm guessing that the roof was last replaced in about 1990 at the.l very latest...

 

This house is obviously a teardown, so what's probably gonna happen is that as per Borough rules they're gonna salvage the front wall of the house and built a monstrosity, and then sell it for a couple million dollars...

 

The backyard obviously has not been touched in years...

Scope the picture of mine..that was a decent sized hole. Not sure if they found more..I specifically pointed it out at check-in so as to save the risk of lifting the truck just in case there was more unseen damage. I was told they'd inspect that spot, and if they find one spot that qualifies they stop right there so my guess is it was never in the air.

Brought my truck in for the better pictures this morning and should get a call confirming final approval from Toyota Corporate before the end of the day today!

 

My frame was inspected 6 months
the ago, no issues no.holes rust etc.

I live in Connecticut but dont know what crap they put on the roads during the winter season but tears up the frames.

Mt 2013 4x4 Access cap has been Fluid Filmed since new .

The shop manager came out and said that there was another truck in for the frame inspection on the same day of mine , both had fluid film and there was no rust to be found, in my case fluid film works

The service manager at my dealer says the new frames are pretreated, but it's sounding like getting fluid film on the new one won't be a bad idea!

 

Congrats on (most likely) getting a new frame! I was able to get mine replaced for a 2cm perforation, I'd be shocked if Toyota didn't approve the replacement on yours.

 

And due partially to the fact that rental cars are in short supply right now, I'm allowed to keep driving my truck until the new frame comes in!

 

Your Service Manager is pretty good at blowing smoke up your skirt. Not only did I work at a Toyota dealership until recently, in a previous career, I spent over 15 years in the metal finishing business. I say that because I can assure you that the new frame you're getting has exactly the same finishing process as the old one. Both of them were "pre-treated" prior to electrodeposition painting. (Hell, all of the painted or plated parts on your truck were pre-treated in some fashion.) Said another way, the new one won't last any longer than your old one. Hint: Get it coated with Fluid Film, Woolwax, Waxoyl or something similar if you want to keep the truck for a long time.

 

I'm getting mine Woolwaxed this weekend. A wise idea to protect my ass....et

Warranty expires on September 30th; I had to bring the truck back this morning for new pictures because the regional guy who sends them to Toyota Corporate "didn't like" the ones that were taken last Friday. The service manager at Thompson Toyota still hasn't heard back from this regional guy!

 

It will bo ok. The case was opened before the 30th.
So I don’t foresee a problem with the warranty time.
