I was thinking the opposite... if you had to pay me to do this as a one off it would be 3 times as expensive

I would happily pay 2k without the group buy. The hell I went through tubbing my factory inners only to be left with a floppy weak mess... Id be much further ahead had I never tubbed and just waited for these to come out.

Also, Keep in mind. You're not just paying for materials and labor. You're paying for the time spent in R&D, you're paying for a product that offers serious benefits. That alone holds extra value. You're not buying something like this anywhere else. We are lucky to have a shop like JD pushing things into new territory.

This exactly^^^ 2k is a steal for this and with the group buy even better. Pretty sure I’d pay the 2k right now just cause of what it is.

Don’t sleep on this one TW.

Damn it now I'm wishing I didn't order a crawl box. Looks like I'm going to have to sweet talk my wife into letting me get the inner fenders too.

The first 40 will get them with the inner fenders along with a discount. After that they will be $149

Sold. I'm guessing that there will be a thread in the group buy section on Friday?

Do you recommend moving the battery to the rear moreso than keeping it on the inner fenders?

The only thing stopping me from doing this is the gauge wire needed to be able to run a winch off of a rear battery. IIRC I would need 0000 wire to be able to handle the draw at that length, and that shit is expensive.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
Are you willing to tell us what the group buy price is assuming we get 40 people? Hope you understand where I'm coming from - not trying to question the quality or the cost of R&D, or whether full $2k pricetag is cheap or expensive. But I am trying to decide if there is value for me when thinking about this upgrade. I feel like it would be a good upgrade, my core support is cracking, but not like other pictures and descriptions I read here. So for me, knowing if it is 10% or 25% or whatever would be a factor in my decision....

I'm trying to remember the last JD group buy, which I think was for all various manner of JD parts .... Is my memory correct, where when a person signed up on the group buy, only afterward were they given a coupon to use on the website, and only then did anyone know what the actual price was? Will this be similar and the GB price will not be announced, or can you let the cat out of the bag?
