What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Keeping it until my kid turns 16. it will be his. Got to keep it running good for another 9.2 years. Then I get an OR and he gets the SR from me LOL.

 

This is what a lot of people overlook. Having a short commute below freezing is classified as 'extreme conditions'. I changed oil spring and fall regardless of mileage.

 

That's pretty close to my normal change schedule. my commute is 25 miles each way, but with the temps we get (down to -25F) I err on the side of caution.

 

what's that little "-" mean in front of the temperature? I live in San Diego and have never seen that before.........

 

it's like a normal number, but on the other side of "0" LOL. We get a temp difference of over 120 from summer to winter, depending on the year. Normal summer gets some highs in the upper 90s and winter gets down to -20 or more.

I have yet to visit MN but I imagine the humidity makes the cold just as bad if not worse

Got it home from the stealership. All the form said was that they performed the 5k Toyota Care service for vehicle with synthetic. guessing that that means no oil change. Fine with me. I walked out without paying anything.

 

I would think they would change it to get the break in additives out? This is mine when I took it in at one year.

 

Went to the Dealership Parts Desk today to pickup a spare Quick charge kit that matches the one that came with the Truck, and a set of Black Wheel Locks and the Pouch to hold the lock and lug nuts for the glovebox. Grabbed some oil and a filter while I was there.
