My kid's gf is in the hospital tonight due to some severe reaction to......whatever. Anyhoosier, her parents had to hightail it to her zone (she's 3 hours away, at college), so he was chosen to stay at their house to keep an eye on their mutt. They have a huge, gorgeous home, so maybe he won't be back.

 

On my walk today, 3 of them crossed my path. I saw them yesterday, they didn't come out of the trees so today surprised me.

 

Hell, I think even I could hit one of them with an arrow.

Not far behind though, maybe 100 fps or so slower, if memory serves.

It's not a barrel burner, unlike the Rem Mag.
And you can get it in a short action rifle.
If you want something fancy, have a look at a Model 7.

Oh, and "Karamojo" Bell shot over 100 elephants with his 7x57mm Mauser, circa 1900.
(Which is the ballistic equivalent of the 7mm-08.)
So it wasn't just a stunt, but he did it with brain shots from the side.
