I think it speaks much to Mike's mechanical ability and work quality. A person owning that rare and vintage of car wouldn't let just anyone touch it let alone work on it.

Hey, thanks man. I don’t get on here nearly as much as I did before. Kind of restructuring things in my life.
It’s funny you mention scrolling through TW while the kids are in a bath, that’s about the only free time I’m allowed anymore, lol.

Another thing I recalled was sometimes the colors you want are hard to find so you grab them when you see them

 

Same thing I do with the best fishing lure colors lol. You know they're the best because they're almost always sold out.

 

The golden era of automotive styling - never again will such clean, simple and beautiful vehicles be produced.

Different lot numbers can be a slightly different color, too. Buying everything you need all at one time helps with that.

I looked up about those 2000 GT cars (wiki) pretty interesting and a rare car.

Now curious what do the side panels on the front fenders allow access to?

I'll have the task of bore and broach a coupling set in the near future. Be nice if the new guy is here by then because it will be a good opportunity to show him how the key way cutter works. He may have had one at the previous shop he worked.
I haven't much clue yet about what his experience level is.
