The difference is I didn’t have a choice, someone made that truck thing fugly on purpose.

 

Opinions vary. I like it better than the rivian.

 

Neither one is that pretty

 

I think it shows more homage to older Datsun/Toyota mini trucks so that's a plus in my eyes.

 

I can see that, definitely trying to attract that generation of truck people.

They could literally electrify a first gen and I’d like it more than anything else on offer. Keep it simple, don’t reinvent the whole damn concept.

 

All these other options are built like cars, there's nothing built like a truck, it all looks disposable and fragile. It's an electric subaru baja at best.

 

Yeah , to some extent. Time will show durability.

part of the problem is the larger truck trend of turning them into status symbols instead of their utilitarian ancestors.

Wonder what happens if you try to flatbed a rivian, or put a any kind of service bed on it.

 

That's my point, you cannot do that to a rivian, they're unibody, that's all structural. Theyre using car suspension designs as well.

 

Except for this ugly beast, but it's a diesel hybrid.

and they are unibody as far as body and cab but technically body on frame

 

I do appreciate the hydraulic adjusting shocks, that is a nice touch at the least.

 

I will say this, I appreciate that the Rivian looks 100x better than the Cybertruck, which looks like something from Robocop's wet dream

 

This is true, that thing is just awful all around. The rivian is odd looking but it's at least likable as a vehicle. The cyber truck is only likable as a child's toy concept

 

The rivian r1t and r1s look a lot better in person
