Was that place out at Pappy's for a bit? Looks like they're in town now. I was out at Pappy's tubing Labor Day weekend.

 

I believe so. Every time I pass by it’s on a Sunday evening and they are closed. It looks like a neat place to drop in and visit.

Hey y'all,
Our office is expanding and taking on new clients. We're full-service media, PR, advertising, social media, creative & design for clients in the following categories: Fishing, boating, hunting, firearms (competitive, tactical, etc), tailgating, camping, general outdoor adventure. We work with the little guys with an idea but no clue how to market it all the way up to the big-timers with a global footprint. We're located in downtown Gainesville, GA.

We'll be hiring for the following positions in the next few months:

• Graphic Designer- Ad copy, catalogs, packaging, logos, merch, etc.
• Social Media Manager- Handling multiple client's social media presences.
• Account Exec- Building PR calendars, media plans, ad campaigns, etc.

Details:
Full-time, 8:30-5 M-F (We usually cut out around 2-3 on Fridays)
Friday morning breakfast each week
15 PTO days, 10 federal holidays, 6 bereavement days
Not sure the salary but everyone here is making at least $50k and up to $65k
Travel covered with expense reimbursements (SHOT Show and other big industry events)
We usually attend the big archery, fishing, and shooting conventions as well as round-table events with media partners
No health insurance
401k with % match
The office is 50/50 guys & girls ages 24-46

Just curious, how many employees do you have? Any word on if your company will require the vaccine?

 

9 currently. No vaccine requirement. 3 of us are vaccinated and everybody else has had Covid this year.

 

You guys ever use freelance/hires guns for your Graphics or Art Direction needs?
I can’t do another 9-5, but always like to talk turkey.

 

We have two former designers who we pass freelance stuff to when we have a creative crunch.

Would love to get the fam back up that way, but my skill set (or lack there of) doesn’t match those needs. The no health insurance is a tough one to get past too though.

Agreed. We have health insurance through my wife’s job, so I was able to step out of public education and into this biz, which is right up my alley, and a pay raise above teaching.

 

@Built2Ride should be at the top of your freelance list. Best of both worlds.. Some of the best real life experience of anyone and multiple income streams so he's not desperate and would take on work that his creative brain is actually interested in. I've work for little over the last decade supporting the technology needed for editors and visual effects artists working on some of the biggest projects in the world and he would be my go to.

Just the truth... But you're welcome and hard in the paint is a little too real haha I just went out on paternity leave but just got done migrating and updating NBA TVs graphics repo/MAM. We had a crazy "incident" with a new security tool that made it a total pain in the ass.

I can almost feel the tension in the air! Upgrades were always downgrades. That’s why I put in a Solaris Backup System in that took snapshots of the XServers every half hour.
Like NBA our shit was being made, digitized and thrown On-Air within the hour! Wasn’t live TV, but might as well have been.

 

There's a guy in the NC 4Runners thread over on 4runners.com who is interested in doing Hurricane Creek on Oct. 9 if anyone has any interest in that.
