    My last fill-up was 12.8. I'd happily trade .8mpg for 500hp

OP has put $25k into aftermarket parts for his Tacoma???? I hope it includes a V8 engine swap or at least a supercharger.

I love the idea of pushing around overpriced toys as much as the next guy. I bet it would be a hoot to drive one of these for a long weekend.

What I would struggle with the most is the sheer size of that truck. According to a quick Google it's 88" wide which is a good 13(!) inches wider than a Tacoma. It's 11 inches wider than my wife's Grand Cherokee. With another quick Google it wouldn't fit through my garage door. My wife's Grand Cherokee is about 77" wide and I have to be on my A-game to get it through the doors.

That being said, I do think there is a market in the US for an obnoxious smaller truck, but the profit margin isn't there. I remember when the original TRD Pro line was teased in 2015 people hoped the trucks would show up supercharged. I think there was definitely a case to be made there to put the TRD blowers on all those trucks, fit 285s on the 4Runner / Tacoma via careful fitting of larger flares, etc and let them rip.

I like the Pros as much as the next guy and would probably replace mine with one especially since they made them taller, at this point I'm rambling off topic, so I'm going to stop now.

The key ingredient to fast off-road isn't power, it's suspension. Would be cool to see Toyota do a factory LT truck like the raptor but I doubt it'll ever happen.

Nope. The ironic thing is that the $25k was a compromise. I originally wanted to do a supercharged prerunner build with long travel and 35’s. Ended up doing a more reasonable mid travel w/33s.

It adds up quick. Full stereo upgrade w/ JL audio, F&R bumpers, winch, compressor, diamondback, full skids, regear, Accutune stage 4 Fox DSC, wheels, tires, LED light bars, TRD intake/exhaust, scooped hood, etc.

We had one team tag along once. They only made it about 15'into the woods and got stuck lol. But these would be awesome in the dunes or open areas

Have anything concrete saying the raptor r will be turbo? Most say a detuned gt500 engine will be used.

And you clearly know nothing about the hellcat motor if you thinks it's tapped out here.

The Tacoma v6 is basically a 4 banger .Our trucks are just not designed for power in mind . I had a challenger r/t that I traded for the Tacoma the change was hard to get used to once you had that kind of power . Personally I wish Toyota would add a turbo to our trucks to give it more oomph.

Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
If I had $25k lying around to drop on a 30 year fixed rate at 2.9%, I’d take the profits and use it for that hefty $950 monthly payment. Man do those things sound sexy!!!
