Well I went with Mobtown. In my opinion, best option that was available and good customer service. So far, so good. 96E9299A-30B4-4FA8-A46A-7EA5380D3FA0.jpg4164FBDA-1A9F-417A-85F6-BB434CF4FCCF.jpg

Uptop is my preference, but I’m open to any brand If the price is right. What do you have?

When did you order yours? I ordered a couple months ago and now with them shutting down, I dont think I'll be getting mine. I love the look of theirs. I find all the square aluminim racks do not match the aesthetic of the truck.

Just throwing this out there, i just got the Xtrusion rack to put over the softopper. And while it does look sick and serve it's purpose I now can't fold the softopper down with the rack in place... Anyone else have that issue with Xtrusion? Debating selling the rack and finding one with a better fit or just ordering taller columns
Also worth mentioning that i bought their rack at "softopper height"

I don’t believe you’ll find a rack that does what you want. Due to the geometry of the frame it sticks WAY up when in the collapsed position. Looks to be 1’ or more above the cab. Check this video out at 5:10 https://youtu.be/W6JrfFd3J2g

You’d need an extremely tall rack to make it work and that’d look pretty goofy. Although, with the right design you might be able to make it work if the middle cross bar of the rack was removable. I’m not sure that it’s possible but there might be clearance if the front and rear cross bars are positioned properly and the middle one is removed.

Yaa you got a great point, thanks for tip, ya just saved me hours of rabbit hole searching. Yay for forethought! I'll just look at this positively, like, now it'll be that much harder for the clandestine inclined to filch the topper

Looking for a really basic setup so that I can mount a 270 degree awning above the softopper. Anyone have ideas. Not looking for anything with modular mounting plates or crazy.

I think you're pretty SOL unless you want to spend a whole lot of money for one of the other racks shown in this thread.

These racks are so damn expensive it's got me thinking about trying to find a cheap lumber rack on craigslist - the type that are designed to go over a camper shell.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
I'm looking for a rack like this one for my ACLB
    .external-content.duckduckgo.com.jpg

With a swing away cross bar in the rear, the soft topper fold and stow would be easy.

Might need to make it myself.

REALLY looking at the SOS bedrack, price looks good. Just not sure. it would be the most expensive thing I've gotten for the truck, after my tires/wheels. debating powder coat or bare aluminum. really not sure. anyone got input? a little gun shy, but having a rack for my traction boards and stuff, including, eventually, a canoe, would be sweet.

Personally, I just can't stomach the costs of these racks. Especially considering that I find fairly big faults with virtually all of the designs (this is me, specifically, being picky and wanting some features none seem to offer). At that price point I'd kinda rather hire a local guy to build a custom one or the cheapest route of doing my own retrofit.
