Nice I’ve definitely wanted to check out prairie city it’s super close to me, I’m in Rancho Cordova. I just got my truck built up so definitely wanna get his feet dirty soon. And I only know one guy that hit the trails. I’ve been looking to find some more local people hit trails with.

I wish I didn't own it! I'll try to remember to cross post meetups and whatnot here. If I didn't start the group and it grow to where it is now.. I'd be off of Facebook.

Come out in the snow, Prarie city doesn't have much to offer. But its good if you just finished a build and want to test before hitting the trail.

Rubicon and Fordyce are good. There's a few other trails that are a little easier, fire roads and what not. But its more fun when there isn't a ranger cruising around a fenced in area.

First snow that hits, forest hill and sly park should be great. A run to uncle toms is fun but it gets jammed up after a big storm.

You will get snow there at times, but not nearly the amount as further north in the country. Average snowfall maps state 5-15 inches in lower, flatter areas south and east of the state. I lived in Delaware and Pennsylvania, and it is not so disimilar, at least in the flatter areas.
If you are further west in the state then you will have more due to the mountains.
I prefer snow over ice or sleet, though. And I think that is more common in the southeastern past of the state. However, having not lived there, I don’t know for sure.
What I do not like is the humidity near the coast. Will be pretty humid in summer and while not quite as hot, I think it’s much more unbearable.

I also want to add that I wouldn’t mind living in Virginia. Grew up in Ohio so used to some humidity. The snow and cold doesn’t bother me as much as the heat and humidity. But I could still live back east and be really happy there as well. I didn’t want top make it sound like a hell scape. I’d be happy living just about anywhere.
Family doing well. Just busy as heck. Kids with sports in different places all the time. Hope you got to enjoy the LL baseball this year…it goes by quickly!
