2020 Tacoma OEM LED Headlight Megathread

Some crappy photos of the headlight in DRL mode vs parking light mode. Likely impossible to tell much difference without doing side by side but I only gave the one bench light handy and it’s a little bus-up as they like to say in the islands.

 

I told myself I wouldn't buy a set until I can pay cash for them.

Scored on a driver side headlight for $60. Now Looking for a passenger side if anyone is selling. Please let me know.

Everything is perfect except the two broken tabs at the top, but JB Weld works miracles.

People use different places. Mainly just price shopping to get the lowest price.

Just google searching and price.

I use OEM Part Source.

Some people use Toyota online dealers that ship closer to you to pick up and they should deal with the issues if parts come damaged rather than going through online sites. Also heard they might offer free shipping to dealers. I am not too familiar with this process though.

 

Some of my trusted pals who are good with price shopping have gone through Sparks and I believe Chloe Kuo has her own discount code with them.

Talked to them today and their shipment method was damaging too many so they stopped work until its figured out.

Unfortunately OEM Part Source doesn't have them either. I'm still in assembly research phase but it's gonna happen.

I think I mentioned this before, but some local dealers will give a discount when you order parts from parts.toyota.com and select the dealer. I have 3-4 in the greater Cincinnati area I compare prices on before I order. Then I choose to pickup from the dealer so I don’t have to pay shipping. In the case of headlights, you can also check the condition before you accept the item. If tabs are broke the dealer will be responsible for sending them back and getting replacements, rather than you having to pay to ship them back somewhere. Added bonus is it can help you build a rapport with the dealer in case you need some good faith help after your warranty is up.

 

I go on Ernie Boch Parts and he has the lowest prices in my area but does not allow pick up at the dealer. So I contact my dealer down the street and he matches them and I pick them up that easy.

 

I order all my stuff through bam.

I just ordered a set to pair with @daveeasa 's harness from Olathe Toyota. $1350 for the set, which certainly beat my local shitbag dealer's $2012 price, and generally matches the Morimoto XB price.

EDIT: Shipping was $80. Granted not cheap but if they arrive with any kind of damage, Olathe is pretty well known for friction-free replacement.

EDIT 2: And the thought of pairing these with @MESO 's upcoming taillights and just received V5 turns has my tongue wagging and my wallet screaming.
